Default 19" or 20" Need help??

Hey CL, I have found the wheels I want, now I just need to make up my mind if i want to go with a 19" or 20" set up. I had 20"s on my TL and every bump was bad bc I had 30 series tires on them. But they did look good. I MAY drop my IS350 .5" or 1" at some point so which set up should i go with?

19x8.5 - 19x9.5 with a 35 series tires or
20x8 - 20x10 with a 30 series tires

DO you guys think the ride would be much different between the two? I just go my Lex last week so let the mods begin. thanks

Welcome

19x9 and 19x10 +22 offset will bring you nice and flush with some rolling.

I dropped me car on springs and have 19s and almost rides like stock IMO.

IMO, 3 factors that helped retain decent ride quality
1. 19" wheels (not 20")
2. Toyo T1R tires
3. F-Sport progressive rate springs with modest drop

My car is setup in a similar way with Eibach 350 springs.

19s, FTW !! They are a perfect size for the 2nd Gen IS (IMO).

I wouldn't go any bigger than 19s...tire wise, I wouldn't get anything less than 295s
