Default Opinions on powdercoating stock rims?

I have a black is250 and i wanted to get some new rims, but since im only 17 and running out of mod money i thought powdercoating my stock rims would be a good alternative. Ive already used the search bar but ive only seen this done on white is rather than black which is what i really need to see in order for me to make my decision.

Im stuck between glossy black, matte black, and gunmetal gray. I most want black but im not sure if its gonna look too black with my car being black. Does anyone have any pics of this done? Or has anyone seen it and have an opinion on it? I dont want to ruin the classy look of the lexus but ive been really wanting to do something to my rims. Thanks in advance!

unless you get a really good deal on this, i suggest just saving up for new wheels. if you must, flat black ftw

Pro: a low-cost mod with sharp appearance result.
Con: sometimes cheap power-coat job the paint rip off right the way when mounting the tires.

From my 2cents,

the bondo won't hold up from the heat when powder coating.. just smooth it down with a die grinder. i fixed all my curb rash. that's the only reason why i painted my stocks for funn

i think white wheels on black looks hawt.....

I was wondering, are the stock rims painted? If so would they first have to have the paint removed before they put on the powder coat?

Secondly, whats the price i should expect?
