Default First mod: LED puddle lights + LED interior

today i've done the first mod ever to ANY car!

bought the 2W flanks and 2W festoons from vleds
got the rest of the LEDs from ebay to save up on money

ebay 1W flank vs vled 2W flank
(i wouldn't recommend this 1W flank from warden_jp2008 the input is too thick and spread the connectors of the car too wide apart! i put this flank into my driver's side vanity lights and puddle lights, and after pulling them out and putting other bulbs back in, the connectors have become very loose!)

Original puddle bulb

waden_jp2008 flank LED

vleds 2W flank LED

the flank LEDs from vleds are noticeably brighter and do not stretch the connectors as their inputs are thinner, i'm another person on the long list who would recommend these for puddle lights if you're looking for brightness

ebay wide angle LED vs ebay 1W LED
(both of these LEDs are again from warden_jp2008. the wide angle ones really provide a wider angle than the normal 1W LED, so the seller wasn't bsing! their brightness are about the same though)

original dome

LED dome (wide angle LED on the two sides + 1W LED in the middle)
if you're ever interested in the wide angle LEDs, they do not fit through the hole if you install using the method where you pull down the entire top console, you must twist them in by removing the light cover
for me, both installation methods were easy, although removing the light cover literally took 2 seconds for me, whereas unscrewing the screws above the sunglasses holder and pulling the console down would obviously take longer

Original rear dome

vleds 2W Festoon LED rear dome

my conclusion for vleds vs ebay LEDs are:
if your priority is brightness, then i believe vleds currently have the brightest 2W LEDs. As for the interior, if you don't mind about brightness but just want the white lighting, ebay LEDs are fine are aren't that much dimmer than the vleds. however, i can't comment on durability as i've just installed them today. I'll have to see if the vleds ones have a longer life than the ebay ones.

Looks good! I hope my guide helped in your decision making. I know how daunting all the choices can be.

I'm blinded by the light. Thanks for the comparison.

BTW... what floor mats did you get? It kinda looks different from the weather floor mats I am seeing.

they're original lexus IS awd winter mats
they're made for awd as it has the indent on the driver's side for the extra room it takes up for the awd
and perhaps cause i'm in canada so we have special winter mats for the snow?
nevertheless.. i think the mats look very good!
you can't really see cause the seat is in the way.. but at the very bottom of the mat is actually says IS in white font, really nice!

Quick, easy and cheap mod, but a world of difference. I still need to swap my front dome LED's out again... got some crappy eBay ones that just aren't bright.

When you inserted Vled into puddle light did they feel kind of lose? If you insert all the way in you will lose connection, had to pull out a bit to get them to light up. That was my only beef about V LED.
