Default My Roadtrip in the IS!

Hey guys I took a road trip from Socal to Central Cali and Norcal and then back in the IS and just wanted to share

The IS250 is a great car for road trips if you ask me. It comfortably sat myself (6' tall) and 3 other average size adults. I managed to squeeze out a little over 33 MPG too...getting 485 miles on a tank with about 17 miles left still

All taped up to avoid the rock chips

Snow in CA!

What was left of the tape after the weekend It doesn't stick so well after the rain, but the majority of it stayed on. I took the part on the hood off myself after the grapevine because it was coming off as one piece and didn't want it flying onto the highway...

Tape removed! NO rockchips!! YAY

If anyone is thinking of taking their IS on a road trip, do it!! it was great and i love my IS that much more now

Taping the front end was a great idea, when i removed the tape it had all these tiny nicks and was covered in bugs. Glad it wasn't my paint that suffered!

3M painters tape. Cost $6 at homedepot for a huge roll of 2" width tape. I only used half of it lol You can put it on there and it doesn't damage the paint, and you can remove it easily. It didn't leave any residue or anything for me either.
