Default Door lock Actuator

Does anyone know if Sewellparts.com sells the door lock actuator on their site? I looked but couldn't find it. Just seeing if it was called something else.

Also, has anyone changed one of these before? I refuse to go to the dealer that will charge me $550 for this.

Looks like part numbers 69310 or 69320, depending on which side you want. When you get to Sewell, you click on "Body Parts", then scroll through the diagrams until you find the area of the car you need a part for. Once you click on the correct diagram, you will see the parts list below, with the corresponding part numbers and prices.

I haven't done a door lock actuator in the IS, but did do one in my Honda Accord recently. Labor time calls for about an hour and a half. It was a real pain trying to get the door lock rods (yes, two of them) reconnected from above. Be careful if you are going to try this, because you likely have air bag sensors in your doors, and absolutely need to disconnect your battery before you do any jacking around near one of those.

Here is the link........

A door lock actuator is the type of part that always seems to cost way more than it should. I did a little snooping around, but don't see if offered by much of anyone else. You could likely find a part from a salvage yard seller. I use RockAuto.com a lot, and they don't offer it. Neither does Dorman, and they are a huge manufacturer this type of OE replacement part. There was some sort of solenoid/slave for the door lock actuator listed when I searched your '07 IS250 on Ebay, but not sure if that is what you need or not....... Did you set up an account at Sewell, and then log on to see if the part price is discounted at all? Also check to see if there may be a TSB that you maybe able to get done for free, even though you may be out of luck with an '07.

Yo! I just logged onto Sewell, and the part comes up $217.88. That's a lot of money, but better than $300+.

Is there a toyota equivalent part # for this? I was getting ready to pull the trigger on buying a spiral cable assembly from Sewell that was listed for $218 (with CL discount applied) but once I googled the part #, I was able to find the toyota part #. Once I did a search on Ebay, I was able to find a brand new one for $150 shipped.

This is the guy I bought it from and he did email me saying he could get any factory party for a heavily discounted price: http://myworld.ebay.com/tombracco

I love my local Lexus dealer, and Sewell and Carson even more, but always check Ebay before I place an order with anyone. I have bought a ton of stuff on Ebay, and while some of it may be "grey market" gear, it is often sooooooo much cheaper than you can get it elsewhere. Certainly worth considering!

Does this seem legit? I'm not sure what an Actuator looks like!

The second listing is the actuator. Looks a lot like the one I just pulled in my Honda. It bolted to the edge of the door where the striker meets to secure it. The cables are for the interior door pull handle, and for the door lock **** that you push down at the top of the door. The electronic sockets are for your remote entry, and the rod is for the exterior door handle.
Just noticed that this is for the right rear door. Make sure you order the one for the door that you have the problem with.
