Strange smell upon full throttle
Hey guys,
I've searched around for this a little bit but can't find anything. When I give the car more gas like 3/4s or full throttle there is a nasty strange smell that enters the cabin. It smells similar to rotten eggs, it's disgusting. And it only happens in that situation. I spoke with my brother and he says this is common for automatic transmissions. Can that be true? Is there really another reason automatics suck?

No, has nothing to do with transmissions.
Its Toyota's catalytic converters. They've had that smell for years. You only notice it at high RMP's and when the windows are open.
If you think that's bad, go for a ride in any 4Runner with the rear windows down. Your eyes will water.
