Hey guys, got a question. I'm thinking about getting the 09 Tom's rear lip for my 08. Will it fit or do I need to do major modifications to my bumper or it won't fit at all? Thanks!

I did a quick photoshop on my car and it came out pretty nice.

It will fit, ask All4sho350. He already did it on his 2007 IS350.



The thing is, there will be a big exhaust gap since it's meant to have quad.

Thanks Rash! Actually it doesn't look that bad with the gap. Maybe it will look better with my HKS hi-power exhaust. lol

I was so close in buying it, was thinking to fill the extra gap. Then decided in buying the 06-08, not installed yet.

I wonder how big the gap will be with my exhaust? Really wish I could afford any of the quad exhausts for my car but all of them are like 2k up. Especially the Suruga Speed. It sounds so awesome! I might just have to get the 06-08. Oh well, I guess you can close this thread. Thanks again for the pics.

Haha don't worry, I'm in no rush to get the kit. At least now I have an idea what it would look like. I just prefer the lines of the 09 better.

AFAIK, *any* '06-'08 rear kit will fit an '09 rear bumper, and vice versa.

i love the 09 Tom's rear lip, too bad its made to fit quad is there anything out there that's close to it that fits a dual exhaust? i think the 06-08 Tom's can fit dual, but 09 looks much better imo.

only thing you really have to do is widen the "exhaust hole" about 2 inches on either side to install the lip
