Headlight Blackout and IS-C Bumper Project
Well, I decided to finally start the two projects last week. I have always wanted to have my headlights blacked-out and after seeing what Auto Design does with the headlight black-out, I decided to send the headlights to them. Peter and Eric from Auto Design have been very helpful with whole process. They have answered numerous questions and concerns I had. As for the bumper, I decided not to go with the IS-F Style bumper as I want the OEM fit and finish. I found the OEM 2010 IS-C bumper (new and primed) and OEM Energy Absorber foam for less than $300, shipped! I am now looking for the IS-C fog lights and upper grill. I'll take my time searching as the car will be kept in the garage for the winter. Here are some beginning shots of the project:

good luck with ur project cant wait to see the finished product. hope they didnt charge you a arm and a ******** for the job on the headlights. its something you could've easily done yourself within an hours time for the cost of a can spray paint and primer

I know, alot of ppl said I could have done it myself, but....to bake the headlights and go through the whole process of re-sealing, etc... I figure I would let a professional do it...since they have a business specifically for this. Besides, I got a pretty good deal on the job from Auto Design....shipping was kinda pricey, however I was able to use my company's UPS discount so not too bad.

Man, your setup looks PIMP!!! I like that! I especially like how the amber parking light and HID's really stands out compared to the mirror housing finish. I can't wait to see what my Garax HID's with the LED parking lights will look like after the black housing. Nice job on yours man...

Rash, I thought about the F-Sport bumper, but found it to be a little too aggressive on the sides and in the lower opening. I'm not a big fan of the moldings running in the lower opening like on the F-Sport.

Okay, I got the OEM IS-C bumper, OEM IS-C grill and the OEM IS-C energy absorber. I test fitted the bumper and grill before painting. It is not sitting 100% because I just put it on quickly for a quick pic....but from the looks of it, after it is finally bolted on, it will sit very flush. The blackout headlight came out nice too...they need a good buffing to really shine, but these will do until I get the MY2011 headlights. The headlights lower lines and lens cover look a little blurry because of the lens glare and angle, Here is a quick progress pic...
