My Xmas present! [Another December to Remember - New Member]
Hey all!
I hit a few Lexus Member sites and so far, this seems the most friendly and active...very cool.
I've had been leasing for years, starting in 1998 (I think) with my first Cadillac, an STS. I then went on to get two Escalade EXT's to tow the boat I bought back then. Sold the boat, turned in the last EXT and decided to go back to something sporty...ala my first IS250.
I leased a 2008 IS250 for three years and loved it. Not one issue and had everything tech-wise (at the time) I could have asked for. Turned that lease in this June and decided to look at my options. I work from home so I could wait a while to find my right "next vehicle".
Except for the two EXT's, as you see I love to try new cars and I had decided this time to finally get an Audi. I wanted the A5, but of course my Wife said "no" to anything with only two doors so I opted for the A4.
I had my car guy look for months for the right deal...under 20k miles, 2010 or newer, paddle shifters and Black. Damn if it was almost impossible to find all these in one so I decided to add the IS250 back into my list to look for.
I got the call mid December they found one! A sweet 2011, Granite 250 with only 3300 miles, luxury package, nav etc. and at a steal of a price.! DAMN. They found it in PA and it would take a few weeks to get to Colorado so I had time to wait to see what condition it was in.
The car arrived at the dealership and my sales guy snapped a few pics. I saw it had what could be the stock rims(?), blacked out HID's and what could have been Exhaust Caps. Cool. We went down just before Xmas to pick it up and to my shock it had the Lexus F-Sport Exhaust! Lucky getting a $1470.00 option on a car for nothing! After the 2008's regular exhaust this thing is LOUD. Even my STS wasn't this loud and it had a loudish deep throat note (V8 of course). And yes, as cheesy as the Lexus Dec. to Remember commercials are, my Wife did buy this baby for me.
Anyway, thought I'd intro myself and post some pics. I'll be posting about the Exhaust here in a bit

Wacky...my Control Panel states I have no Attachments anymore! Damn thing.
So is everyone adding jpg's as Attachments in the Control Panel and then hitting the inset image link icon in the editor or is there a better way to add photos?
While I figure out the ins and outs of the forum, I'll just post the pics on my site for the time being.
Let me know if these show up.

I like that Vaistech integration but find it a steep price just so I can select Pandora playlists and Thumbs Up/Down songs.
Thought about painting/decal'ing the breaks but at the risk of being called a ****** (cause they are so small on the 250) I may not
My old 250 had the factory spoiler which I kind of miss...but I think I would really love a new set of rims.
We'll see. I can afford it, just would need to figure out how to sneak the mods past the Bookkeeper (My Wife)

A "drop" wouldn't be good here in Colorado...think "snow plow" I ski all the time and getting to and from the resorts when there is any accumulation would suck big time. I would also be wary of a new front air-damn lip for the same reasons.
On another note, I never did like the vertical grille slots of the IS...not in 2008 and not much now so I would actually like a new grille...maybe one to match the new chin grille it comes with?
