Default Windows automatically rolled down??

I'm at work today, and its pouring rain outside and a coworker comes in and says your windows are down. I say no there not, he says yes they are, I call him a liar and after he uses curse words to say they are I go an check. Sure enough all 4 windows are down around half way and the sunroof is open and my cars interior is soaked

So how did this happen, I didn't even know this car had a feature for windows to be rolled down automatically by remote or what???

If you hold the unlock button on your key FOB, all windows roll down. You probably accidentally pressed it in your pocket. You can have the dealer turn this feature off.

yes, feature on the remote...you probably had something else in your pocket that held down the unlock button. windows open, then the sunroof. so the FOB probably got depressed right before the entire process was completed.

Wow, that's a cool feature and the one time it happens its pouring rain! So can you get them to roll back up automatically?

Nope.

Well, not on a US model anyway. Some overseas models you can.

But the roll-down feature I had my dealer disable as part of my LPS, to avoid exactly the issue you ran into.

I know right, here's my solution. Hopefully 8 hours of this will dry it out!

Most of the time, I let the FOB hang out of my pocket so it doesn't do this.

On my 370Z you have to stick the key in the door to roll them back up.

Happened to me too, and the thing is on the 2012 ISX50C the default is off so someone had to have turned on this feature. I bought new, had the dealer turn off after I came outside one morning and all windows were down about 2 inches, Lucky it wasn't raining.

sorry to hear...I only find this feature useful while walking up to the car on hot day. Otherwise it's jst ida cool unless it was able to be rolled up.

Yeah I'm hoping it wasn't bad enough to leave a musky smell, I don;t think they were down more then 5 minutes.

Yeah I don't understand why Lexus didn't make them work going up also. I know we can add window roll up modules to an aftermarket alarm and roll them up & down.

Probably best to have the key fob in a pocket such that the buttons cannot be pressed while sitting or something pressing against it.
