Headlight Adjustment after lowering - AFS Sensor
Hello all,
After recently lowering my '07 IS250 I noticed the headlight beams were way too high. The AFS works but it's simply aiming them too high.
So, after some research I found two ways of solving the issue. The first being to manually adjust each headlight and drop the beam down, however I found on a number of forums (including the one) that some were saying that shouldn't need to be done. The correct way would be to adjust the AFS Sensor arm to take into account the new Stance of the vehicle.
So...not one for doing a half job I decided that I would adjust the sensor. Simple enough...just a sliding bolt being the rear left suspension coil. However no matter how I adjust it (up or down) the light beam doesn't shift.
Just to note, when I turn the ignition on the AFS does work and does the self-levelling which means AFS is working as far as I understand.
Has anyone had success adjusting this or do I just go back to the manual adjustment per lamp?
Here's a picture of the sensor taken from CL (it's taken from a GS but looks the same):
