How to: Changing Lane Change Flasher from 3 to 5 or 7
The SA at my dealership changed the turn signal from the stock 3 to 5 for me.
I asked him for the instructions and he gave me a few pages (link to the pdf below). He said it was a giant pain and it sure as hell looks like it.

My dealer told me that they could not find the option to change this on EU cars.
They have already contacted tech support in japan and are trying to work out this issue.
Will be exciting to see if the swedish dealer have better luck than the norwegian..

It can be done in Sweden. My dealer tested it on one of their demo cars before they called me. They tried for a week before they got it right.

Funny you posted this today.
I just had my car in for service on Saturday to have the clear plastic coating on the rear bumper replaced ( tons of air bubbles in it), I asked the SA if they could set my turn signals to 5 blinks and he rolled his eyes and laughed. He said 95% of the cars they have sold (2014 models) have had customers ask to rest to 5 or 7 blinks.
He said they were just going to start to set them all to 5 when they PDI the cars.
He said he doesn't know why Lexus/Toyota set them up for 3 blinks when nobody appears to want 3 blinks.
After reading the procedure, I would not want to have to do that every time they sell a car if I were a service tech

my corvette was 3 blinks, and i thought i would change the GS to 5 blinks but after driving for a while i am happy with 3, i think 5 would be too long.
and on that note most of the time i do not give warning to change lanes because usually the person who your trying to change in front of will speed up and cut you off anyway. i prefer the surprise method. i turn, then signal so before they know whats going on im already changing lanes.
therefore 3 is plenty

For what it's worth, I went to the dealership today and had them change it from 3 to 5. With the car wash it took them like 30 minutes. I briefly spoke to the tech who worked on it, and even he seemed surprised at how complicated it was.
