Bluetooth Connect/USB Nightmare

Bluetooth Connect/USB Nightmare
Here's the nightmare:
While connected to bluetooth playing Pandora through my iphone in the car.
Plugging in USB to charge my phone somehow disconnects the bluetooth and stops the music.
There is a long process so far, which deals with unplugging the phone, disconnecting and reconnecting the phone inorder to get the music up and running again.
Anyone gone through this? And does anyone have a solution for this?

If you plug a BT device into the USB slots the car will change priorities and automatically switch to USB as the source for that particular device. You'll have to play music from your phone or use the radio. So you can't charge the phone if you want to play pandora. Try to use iHeartRadio through the car instead? You can still stream music over BT on another device as long as it's not plugged into the USB slots.

Haven't used the IS system yet, but you should be able to charge the phone and use BT at the same time.. isn't there a "bluetooth" source you can switch to on the nav? I haven't used the lexus interface yet, but on my nissan, there is a BT mode that you can plug in the USB but play anything over BT.

My sales rep clearly told me to not use the USB to charge the phone since it will interfere with the the bluetooth streaming. Anyhow he recommends the ac charger since it has more power and the phone will charge quicker. Moral of the story dont use the USB to charge your phone if you dont want to mess with your streaming.
