Exclamation Tiny squeak/rattle noise - Driver's side

I've started to hear a tiny ticking rattle sound from around the B-pillar car/driver's door door when driving over irregular roads. The rest of the car so far is rock solid and quiet.

Anyone else with this?

I'm getting it on my passenger side... Only when driving on uneven roads.

I heard the same noise a for two days in a roll. It was on and off. I have not heard it again.

For me it was just on a regular street, nothing uneven or out of the ordinary.

Hi Guys, This thread discusses a louder rattle in a similar location and the solution: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/for...84086-rattles/ However, it might not be relevant because it relates to an IS300h and, of course, here in the UK we have our steering wheel on the right side!

Please keep us posted on the diagnosis and solution for your rattles.

^^^ I did the ebrake procedure the first days of ownership thanks to that post, but it's not that. It's a small squeak which I now think is from the grab handle. Will do more testing.

I have the same squeak on both passenger and driver side. The sound comes from seat belt holder area.

I'm confident it's the grab handle. Touching it, pulling on it, etc in any direction makes the tiny squeak and since it's right by my left ear, makes sense. Now to resolve this, I'm going to attempt this fix in the RX forum this weekend...

I've noticed this as well on the driver side over slightly bumpy roads. It's starting to drive me nuts. Let us know how your fix go.

Default UPDATE: Troubleshooting process - Removed the grab handle....

UPDATE. In an attempt to isolate the issue, I removed the grab handle and so far today I have not heard the squeaks! Looks very promising.

However, I want to make sure it's not an environmental condition since today was warmer and more humid. Tomorrow will be cooler and drier. Will provide updates in the upcoming days.

Which handle are you referring? Could you show a pic of the handle?

LOL! I don't wish squeaks and creeks to anyone. I can't stand hearing them; especially when you get a new car.

I bought a Mustang 5.0 new in 2010, and when it got cold the car would creek. I sold it within 6 months due to the noises.

Corrado - Sucks that you had to go hulk style and rip off that handle.

semoquer/js 101. LOL it was almost the case! The only "problem" with the 10 years of Lexus vehicles I've owned is that because they're so quiet, you'll hear the slightest peep that you would otherwise never hear in another car. I can't imagine how bad the creaking was then on your five-O...

dojoman: It's the driver's side grab handle on the ceiling.

lf the squeaks are also consistently gone today, I'll attempt the fix and run the car another day and post the Pics/DIY/fix. Fingers crossed.

I am starting to have the same problem as well! Only 3100 miles! Looking forward to a possible solution.
