2024 model new infotainment screen, color options ..

I too, like the trackpad. Played around with it during my test drive and it's actually better than the iDrive **** in my M2 Comp right now. Honestly I'm quite surprised at the reaction to the huge slab of screen tacked on.
One (of many) of the biggest selling points (for me anyway) of the LC is the lovely integrated infotainment. The MY2024+ is joining the bandwagon and ruining what was otherwise a perfect interior with huge slab of iPad.

I also don't mind the trackpad and am not a fan of the tombstone/iPad look at all. Was hoping they could keep it integrated in the dash the way it is now but I suppose that might be difficult to reach for a touchscreen.

I just realized that Lexus doing a mid-model refresh on the LC 500 means that they are invested in the vehicle and they will be keeping it around for awhile.
Perhaps this will quell the Are they going to discontinue the LC 500? crowd for a few more years...
2022 Total LC sales was a measly 1,387 units, which was half of 2021's Total units of 2,782.
I wonder what 2023's numbers will be with the infotainment/360 camera/etc. changes.
Either way....we definitely own a very rare production vehicle....and for those of us convertible owners that have color combos that aren't going to be available in 2023 we are lucky!

That’s a very very good point - if they’re investing in a new dashboard that means it’s not going to be discontinued for a while yet. Good news!
Lol at your huge production numbers - I’m in the UK - there are less than 500 LC here in total since 2017 - my 2021 model year is one of just 63 and probably half of those are hybrids.

ultimately it will depend on sales numbers as to whether it stays in production. few thought lexus would kill the GS but they did.

IMO, the one to have would be the MY2023, which kept all the original dash/interior design + it still has Android Auto/CarPlay integration.

Some new info coming out from a Japanese website.
An improvement? Lexus LC500/LC500h! (2024 model): Leisurely Lazy Nikki 2 (www-namaxchang-com.translate.goog)

■ New setting of seat heater/ventilation switch
・Similar to other Lexus vehicles, it is expected that a "shortcut switch" for calling seat heaters/ventilation/steering heaters will be installed on the site where the remote touch pad was abolished.
a welcome change indeed!!!

According to that article above. New rims (sweet) designs and an add on oil cooler ? I think all these can be retrofitted to our existing cars
gone are the illuminated panel in front of the passenger (the one with all the L s), the old steering wheel, the analog clock, the touchpad
and according to the article the UI will be the lousy POS in the new RX,NX.

just the other day i was thinking how much i still like the analog clock! i'm a techie but it's a nice touch because on modern infotainment systems you often have to look all over to find the clock, especially as it's differerent on the 2 cars i drive!

All they had to do was add touch capability to the current interface rather than removing physical controls altogether 🤦♂️
