Just back from a 2744.4 mile road trip, Vermont to Augusta, Ga. to watch the Masters golf tournament. My little LC500 ran perfectly, and delivered 31.1 mpg Highway mileage. Throughout, my eyes were peeled for any other LCs. How many did I find over the course of 8 days on the road?
None. Exactly none.

It’s true. There aren’t many made…and certainly aren’t many for sale at the moment.

I don't think I've seen one on the road since I moved away from Dallas in 2018. Lived in Denver, Durango, Spokane, & Portland in that time and done lots of roadtrips all over the west, not a single LC I can remember

On the Augusta trip my 31.1 mpg figure was for one 440 mile stretch through Virginia and N. Carolina. Cruise control on I81 set at exactly 9 mph over the posted speed limit, which generally had us around 79 mph and 1600-1700 rpm. For the whole 2744 mile trip, counting everything, mileage was 28.7, including a few on-ramp bursts up to 7000 rpm.
I was not expecting this; it ain’t why I bought it. But I’m not complaining. Another bonus: LC’s range on mostly interstates was just under 600 miles per tank. According to the manual, capacity is 22 gallons. Never put in more than 18.5.

That's the mode we mostly use for all our vehicles.

Must be fun neighbors!

That said, our cars are definitely more rare than the 911s which are a dime a dozen in Austin. It is nice having something more unique.

The fuel tank range logic is hopelessly conservative. If you run it till it says empty and range 0, you use up exactly 75 litres. I took a chance and ran it a while longer past empty and managed to get 80 litres into it. I think the actual capacity is 82 litres. Basically if it says empty you have about 25-30 miles left in your tank lol
