a few questions regarding 2023 LC 500 Coupe
Hi all,
so a ~month ago my LC 500 finally got delivered and I couldnt believe my eyes. What a beautiful car in reality...
It was planned to be delivered in 09/23 but it already arrived in germany at 04/23 (fast workers in Japan). So now I need to rush to do my driving license @_@
- black color/beige interior
- Touring Build (I wanted sunroof and did not want alcantara at all)
- 20 inch base wheels
- Bespoke would have cost +10k€ just for having the black 21 inch wheels with otherwise same configuration (so I decided to go for some aftermarket wheels)
For 08/23 I have appointment at Wimmer RST.
They will do:
- custom exhaust with duplex switch for waking up the neighbours ))
- Sportcatalysator
- Stage 1
which will be ~ +50 horsepower overall & broken ears so I am very excited for it.
In the upcoming days I will
- delete all the chrome (with wrap) and have the grill painted black
- add BBS CI-R (Satin Black), so I have a few questions regarding the wheel change
1.Should I go for 21 inch or 22 inch wheels? I like the look of 22 inch but I am scared of deprive of ride quality. Maybe somebody who did the swap can give some info on it.
It will be the 21 inch wheels as this model doesnt exist (yet) in 22 inch.
2.Since going from 20 inch to 21/22 inch, the car will stand higher - correct? Or are there tyres that will "neglect" it? Because in some comparison pictures it seems that the 21 inch Lexus wheel looks to have a "smaller" rubber compared to the 20 inch.
Thanks to a phone call with BBS I know now how the numbers of tires/wheels etc. work
3. I have already ordered the TEIN S-TECH Springs for lowering the car (250mm front, 300mm rear) - does anybody have experience and info on those?
4. Which tyres should I put on the BBS wheels - any recommendations? I like P-Zero but I am not sure.
5.BBS sent me offer for -front: 10,5x21 ET65,5 -rear: 11,5x21 ET78. Does it mean that the tyre width (currently 245 front, 275 rear) will change as well?
Yes, it does. I will run 265/35/21 on front and 305/30/21 on back
Sadly in germany the law for aftermarket body parts is very strict. Maybe in the upcoming months I will check what is possible (custom diffusor + 4 exhaust pipes look so f**** good on the LC).
Sorry for asking all those (stupid) questions and looking like an amateur.
Its my first car and I want to do everything by myself and learn about it.
Kind Regards

Congrats on the car. I know that JP Performance in Germany has(d) an LC build - very nice as well with BBS CH I believe. I was going for BBS originally, but they didn't have the ability to make custom sizes.
