9 day California roadtrip
Just back from a 2500-mile 9-day trip through central/northern California - Mt Shasta, Yosemite, Big Sur, & up the Pacific Coast Highway. First proper trip in the LC & it was just a dream, basically a perfect car for me, tons of fun on twisty mountain roads & a supremely nice place to knock out several hundred miles on the interstate. Already have my next 4 big trips planned, just have to find time for them
My big Q with the LC was is it enough fun on a good road to make me not miss my old 718 Cayman too much, & the answer is certainly yes, especially once I get rid of these Dunlop run-flats and put on some Michelins.
I still see people sometimes saying this car isn't suited for long trips so I just want to list out everything we fit in it: In the trunk, 2x carry-on suitcases, 2x 22-liter hiking backpacks, 4x hiking poles, 4x snowshoes, 1x camera bag. In the back seats, taking up maybe half the space back there: loads of extra food and water, medium size cooler, heavy winter coats, camping supplies, a bunch of souvenirs. I don't think 2 people could really ever need to bring more than the LC can fit; we could even bring our dog or our inflatable kayak + oars along without trouble.

Simply beautiful pics. Such a wonderful state for its land - ashamed all the people there have gone mad as a hatter. Great to drive it now before they ban your car from entering the state.
What is printed on your back glass?

lol, I definitely notice every time I do that & it bothers me but most of the time my girlfriend is sitting in there while I run out to take a photo real quick and locking it sets off the alarm if she moves inside at all. Sometimes I remember to take off the front plate too, it's whatever

I’m aiming to do this exact same trip with mine this summer. Wife was worried about rock chips and blah blah blah. I told her life’s too short to be worrying about a car.
can’t wait ! I love that drive along the Oregon coast and highway 1.

Amazing pics, great locations, beautiful car.
What's the ideal non-drill front plate solution for these cars? I have a power-disappearing one that hides in the grille of my Aston but the Lexus' grille has no gaps, and the front splitter is too low to go under it.

I have this: https://stonsho.com/front-license-pl...lc500h-sns130/
It uses one existing hole and you have to drill one more in front of it - but only in the unpainted plastic(?) panel underneath. Great solution imo, takes 5 seconds to remove the plate & put it back on
