I know, I know...I should always wear a seatbelt. Now that we've gotten past this, is there any way to disable the seatbelt beeping when I'm not wearing one?

Yup, you need a usb to obd2 cable and the lexus / toyota techstream software. you can buy the whole set (including software) from amazon for quite cheap. You plug it in, run techstream and go into customizations and you can do it to your hearts content.

things like 1 touch unlock, how many presses for remote start, holding down unlock to open sunroof (not applicable to LC500 but i did it on my wife's RX) and disabling seatbelt reminders of all kinds (passenger, driver, or both).

this cable, and then find a toyota website that lets you download techstream for free. probably against forum rules to post that sort of things here, but its not hard to find.

hahaha yup, thats a significantly cheaper and easier solution for sure. I just think once you have it disabled (the audible charm) its a one and done step.

These clip things are gonna be annoying if you ever do wanna wear the belt and then you gotta fiddle with clips.

If purchased new, my dealer will disable the setting via the obd. There are other settings you may want to change while you are in the menu.

Also you can use carista app and a wifi obd dongle for like 15$ from amazon

I ordered the flush mount ones, so thank you. I tried the other kind once off ebay for another car and once I clicked it in, I could never get it out! Had to replace the seatbelt.
