Center Console Won't Open
2018 LC500 - the push button works and the center console will slide back but the handle to flip open the console to the larger portion is flopping around. My guess is that plastic pin in there broke off, anyone know of a way to get it opened so that I can fabricate a new pin?

I had the same problem and it was too hard to take the lid apart to fix a simple pin which is broken. Based on my research there is a design defect because it does happen to a lot of LC owners.
I had the dealer order a new lid and install but they did complain it wasn’t easy especially when they wanted to get the alignment perfect. It seems the whole console is assembled completely before it’s installed on the assembly line.

I had this problem as well. Kind of funny, After a week or so of not being able to open it, I swung by the dealer and my service manager took a look at it and he didn't do anything special but he played with it, got it to open, and it's been fine since.

Well I was right about the handle it was broken - while trying to wiggle it around trying to get the center to open it actually pushed all the way back and fell into the console. Now there is no handle, anyone have a pic on how the handle releases the hinge to open up? I put my borescope in there and can see around but didn't see anything obvious to try and release.

The 2 pins are extended by the black button (picture 1) that is pressed when the cover is closed.
When the pins are extended, they still move freely and when one of them is pushed in it also pushes the other pin in.
If you can push either pin in from the outside, the cover should open depending on what exactly is broken.
