Okay all FIXED!!!!

Total price out the door was $1576.

The part came directly from the LC 500 plant in Japan factory painted to match. There is no way to know the whole panel is new.

I am back to ecstasy ….

She is filthy though - Had to drive in rain to go to body shop (1 year and only second time to see rain - Weather man is to blame for the other time)

Curious, I just ordered two new OEM rockers in white. I was surprised at the factory "rock guard" piece and do not want it on there as it was not on my 2018 from the factory. Did your body shop take off that piece before mounting (hard to tell from your pictures)? I want to PPF the whole piece and leaving this on will prevent that. Plus, on white, it will look horrible as dirt collects if I leave it without PPF'ing. My shop is wary about removing it so curious as to your experience in removal, it's very thick plastic in comparison to PPF.

Mine still has the Rocker tape on there, but it comes off like regular tape with no issue.

Ok, any tips on removal process? Heat gun assume? I just don't want the paint to be compromised as these were pricey and I'd only get one shot Otherwise, I'd rather just get my current ones repaired and send these back.

Out of curiosity, how much were they? I only ask because I still can’t wrap my head around the original car’s repair only costing $1,500. I’ve seen that for a bumper that had almost no impact.

I just peeled the tape right off from my car - AFTER the accident and it came off with no issue. I also had nothing to loose at the time so I was not concerned about paint. I would assume heat could/would help the removal process.

My panel was like 1300 with around 200 for labor "expertise". They only spent 20 minutes replacing it.

Mine were $950+tax/shipping per side from LexusPartsNow.com. Here are Ultra White part numbers: 75850-11010-A0, 75860-11010-A0. The reason I thought to go this route, were that the rears of both were blemished before I bought the car. Plus some additional damage I incurred over the past 2 years, I wanted to start fresh and PPF brand new ones from the start. We'll see if it's worth it, but know that any chip beyond paint is black plastic/fiberglass, so it stands out like a sore thumb with Ultra White ...

These costs blow my mind. I had a small "crack" on my GX460 bumper (my own fault, was parking and moving too fast and I didn't clear a snowbank... that was pretty much solid ice). Because the GX bumper is 3 pieces, and every piece was damaged, my original quote was $12K CAD.

Same. It almost feels like Lexus is subsidizing these parts. (Like how VW lost over a million dollars per Bugatti Veyron sold.) It makes me want to fill up a shipping container with (auto) body parts, just in case.

You're not the only one that thought that way! If that's the price of the rockers straight from factory, I'd totally be down for giving $4-$5K to my dealership and holding onto two rockers, a front and rear bumper.. and maybe some grill, and light pieces
