What do you guys think of the atomic silver ? That is another
color I am considering.. love the Infra red but might be too
much work
If I were to get silver on any car, it would be this one.

It's like using a very fine sandpaper. Very abrasive. The only thing touching car paint should be high quality micro fiber. Mitts, pads, towels. Drying the car, use a leaf blower. Touch the paint as little as possible and when you do, do it correctly. If you're interested, one YouTube channel I use for washing techniques is cslled obsessed garage. Go back and watch his old videos regarding washing techniques. He also films himself so you can sit and watch how he washes his cars. There are a ton of other channels as well but that's the one that really helped me develop proper washing techniques and finally got me to where I can consistently wash my cars without swirling them.

^^^^As most you you folks know, I'm an old guy and my kids are now middle aged When they were young we used real cloth diapers, after all these years I still have some. They are soft, strong and lint free. I have used them over the years to wash and wax my cars

have you considered getting a correction (polish out swirls, smooth clear coat) and ceramic coating?

Default Which color did you end up getting and ...

Has it been easy to maintain the paint without
ceramic coating or doing a complete wrap?

Guys, so this is a 2 part question.
I am pretty sure Black is by far the toughest
To maintain but what about all the other LC
colors? Is the other colors pretty much wash and dry ?

Thx

Lexus appears to use a more flexible clear coat than some other manufacturers. This would yield better chip protection at the cost of generating more swirls from friction. There are no perfect clearcoat paint finishes as manufacturers look to prioritize their own set of benefits, as well as working around V.O.C regulations where applicable. Some prefer to use a super hard clear coat finish which has a higher resistance rate to surface scratches, at the cost of being more prone to chips due to the fact that the finish doesn't absorb impacts (stone/sand/road debries) as well. Compared to my other vehicles, Lexus has obvioulsy opted for a more flexible clearcoat finish. It's easy for me to confirm this just by the lower level of abrasive needed in the polish to remove the swirls compared to my German vehicles. A protective paint film or ceramic coating finish would certainly go a long way to reduce those swirls.

Default Atomic Silver, Infrared, Ultra white or Liquid Platinum?

Gang

Still debating which color to buy? Can you guys chime in
As to which color is easiest to maintain? Which color
is A swirl nightmare?

I have always owned Silver and white and I know those
colors are a breeze as far as not having to deal with
Swirls in the paint or a dust magnet after 1 week of not
washing.

what has your experience been with the above colors?

Just get the color you like best

Mine is white and it looks fine to me

I am not a PPF, Ceramic Coating consumer so my view on swirls is not so relevant

IMO, (light) silver maintains the best and looks the all around best. I've had all colors and will more than likely be returning to a white colored vehicle for my daily, which is currently a metallic blue.

The blue looks great, but shows all dirt and imperfections quite vividly.

Just get what turns you on. I personally LOVE my Infrared! Definitely stands out in a crowd, That color on my car has probably been responsible for many a chiropractor visit due to craning necks and double takes

I daily see so many white and silver vehicles everywhere so I shy away from those common colors. Black is typically the hardest to keep clean and shows swirls easier additionally in my location just too damn hot (temperature) in the endless sun I have here.

No matter what color, the car is gorgeous!

haha....I went through this same thing. I wanted LP....but I couldn't find one with red leather. And the AS I wasn't 100% sure about as I don 't like gold......but I almost bought one as they offered my $4k off MSRP.....but somehow I got another dealer with a white/red one offer me $5k.

Buy whatever color you want or whatever the best deal is, if you're a cheapskate like me

You won't be disappointed with any colors. This car is gorgeous in all of them.

I own the LP (with Rioja Red Leather Interior) and it’s currently at the detailer for Ceramic Coating and Window tinting. I also have a Maroon Colored Honda Accord but find the LP to be super easy to keep clean and maintain, a lot more so than my Accord. My absolute favorite LC500 color is the Structural Blue but you can’t get that color with the performance package (which was a must for me). As others have stated, go with the color that you most prefer, there’s not a bad choice to be had in my opinion. The level of color care may vary so select the color you’re most comfortable keeping up with and maintaining.

I have an Atomic Silver RX, had a Ultra White LC and now have a Infra Red LC. IMO the Atomic Silver is the easiest, second would be Ultra White. That said, the Infra Red is bad ***!!

all up to you Jonas's. Certain colors do excentuate the cars lines. Give a look then sleep on it. Then choose, its part of the fun, njoy
