It was a IR, with Carmel interior and carbon fiber roof 2018 with 3.5K
The dealer was asking 77K and it sold before I
could jump on it. I’m not in a immediate rush
but if I find a good one, I would move on it.
Look into any parking lot. White, black, silver, yawn. And the white ones tend to park near each other etc. Comfort in the herd.
Now look in a mirror. Are you going to be more ok being like all them? Most folks say yes. What is YOUR answer?
Our first LC was Infrared. It is a spectacular paint. Speaks out in any crowd. Quite enjoyed it but the black interior so common.
After some very colourful adventures I’m back to an LC, Lexus’ version of orange. Pretty muted but with the caramel interior and sand top it speaks out ok.
Point is, who are you? What suits the person you are, or want to be?
If it was after an apocalypse and you were the only one left, which color would you choose to cruise the empty road in? Not to impress anyone else, just to feel good being you.

That's a really keen way of looking at it - "Not to impress anyone else, just to feel good being you."
I repeatedly rotate, car-wise, between not wanting to call attention to myself (black, white, gray cars) to getting bored with that and needing to bust out (red, like my first car, the original Mustang). At 74 years old and after owning 34 cars, we actually counted them the other day on the way back after picking up our new LC 'vert, I just rotated from a dark gray BMW 'vert to the IR/caramel LC 'vert.
I was just thinking maybe I'm too old for that, and then I saw your post. And I'm quite certain: Post-apocalypse, just to feel good being me, it definitely would be the IR/caramel 'vert, and I wouldn't be rotating back to anything else.
If I was the omega man, I would still be driving infrared(caramel interior). I'm not crazy about the attention it brings. I'm afraid to make eye contact at the gas stations for fear people will want to talk, which some do anyway. And that's OK. I'm not so much an introvert, but definitely shy until I feel comfortable with someone. I've learned to fake it tho(long before I got an LC).
The reason I still went red is because I have a personal obsession with the color. I can't explain it. My phone case, my gym bag, whatever. If I can get red I do. Infrared is the most beautiful red I've ever seen. I get emotional looking at it. I know that sounds weird but like I said I'm obsessed with the color/paint. I fell in love the day I watched it pull on the stage in Detroit.
what did old henry ford offer at one point - "any color you want as long as its black"
well by golly that's what i got - sure is pretty ! its actually caviar, with somehow a light shifting iridescence.
i recently watched a bird land on the hood - and study the color; he seemed fascinated.
Black was the last color on my mind for a Lexus GT car, but after seeing this...wow!
White was my first choice but kept thinking every other normal Lexus IS white. Really love the blue and the grey but couldn’t find one.
Surprised how elegant it looks in black!
Comments?
Is that Orlando? I picked up our new verti there a couple weeks back.
Yesterday I was following some all black Audi, it looked great. I was wondering how long that look would last out in the world. Seven minutes came to mind here in pollen season.
My kitchen appliances are gloss ”piano” black. Very easy to see if they are clean or not.
Ten days old and just fully conditioned with professional detailing, color correction (removal of minor swirls), upholstery treatment and top-line GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic protection. So gorgeous even my wife approves.

Looks stunning. Congrats!
Now I’m confused if I should still get the metallic black!
