Oooh that’s a nice Spyder! That Kermit the Frog green Spyder would look awesome parked next to my Big Bird yellow LC Yes, a little variety is the spice of life - I’m planning to attend a Cars & Coffee rally from Orlando to Melbourne in a couple weekends and I’m trying to decide if I should take the LC500 or the S2000 - I know, first world problem, right? LOL. I’m pretty sure it will be mostly long straightaways so I’ll probably take the LC500 which loves triple digit speeds and I’m hoping I’ll be the only LC500 there. Plus it will likely be a super hot day so the cooled seats will be nice to have

So I was going through Grandma’s old maintenance records this morning and about spewed my OJ when I read this 1st one below where, with over 8K miles on the clock, Grandma complained her speedo was reading 20-30 mph too fast - check out the repair technician’s notes
Another thing I noticed in the 2nd one below is Grandma apparently went on a massive summer joy ride / road trip because she piled on almost 5K miles in just the first 45 days of ownership! Can’t say I blame her - I can only imagine the exhilaration of driving this thing around in the mountains of Colorado in July.
The other thing I noticed in the 3rd one below is that as of Jan 2012, or 6.5 years into her over 18 years of ownership, she had put on over 27K miles. This means she drove it just under 8K miles over the next 11.5 years. When I asked her about that she said it was cuz when she moved to Fla to take care of her Mom she never had much opportunity to drive it.

Her Fla license plate was the optional “In God We Trust” version so I was imagining Grandma at the service desk saying “Young man, every time I drive my Honda to church choir practice the little Blue Devil tempts me into driving over 100!!! I went to confession and told Father of my sinful driving and he asked that I let him test drive it which I did of course and he came back 8,000 miles later with a huge smile on his face and advised me to have you look at it”
I also noticed that when I went to adjust the stereo system both the bass and treble were set to “0”. I bet Grandma never bothered or never figured out how to adjust them in 18 years!
Reminds me of when I borrowed my Mom’s Cadillac Seville with the top of the line audio system for my high school prom and when I turned on the stereo it sounded like **** - when I checked the adjustments she had somehow gotten the fader set to full Front and the balance set to full Left. I fixed the adjustment and several days later she mentioned to me how all of a sudden her car stereo sounds fantastic

Took her out for a “spirited” after midnight burger run to McDonald’s last night and OH MY GOD this thing is a freaking hoot to drive!!! The driving experience is surreal and I know it’s cliche’ but I literally felt like I was at one with the car - it was almost a religious experience - I may even have to trade in my Gator plate for another “In God We Trust” version like Grandma had, LOL. I was blasting across bridges, laying rubber, trying to keep up with crotch-rockets, and generally just terrorizing the streets of Clearwater with my little 4-banger It got to the point where I said to myself, “I don’t even care if I get pulled over and have to pay a huge ticket - it’s freaking worth it” so I just kept going and going! The bad news is by the time I actually stopped at McDonald’s they were serving breakfast cuz it was after 3 Edit: This was all just a dream of course and took place in the beautiful city of Clearwater, Mexico 😂

I saw Georgia Tech pretty high up on the list although I didn’t see UGA - however I didn’t check the bottom
As for football I’m afraid you’re right - I was at the game this past Saturday with my son and while they won the game easily it was against a team I’d never heard of and the Gators offense could only muster 1 TD and 5 FGs. So things may get ugly in Jax
Are you able to make the rally next Sat 10/7? See the other thread for details.

I might. The Melbourne tint place is just a few miles away.
I'm sure most will have detectors but FWIW, I've made 4 trips on the Beach line in the past about 6 weeks and there was Zero LEO presence.
I will give you my phone Back channel. If you want, text me right before you all leave With How Many LCs and presuming I go, I'll try and save that number of adjacent parking spots if they will let me

If you’ve been in one for 22 years that must mean you have one with the original 2.0L engine from 2000-2003 that revs to 9K, mine has the 2.2L that came out for 2004 and only revs to 8K so I’m a little jealous! Yeah it’s a keeper - I can see myself keeping it til I can no longer drive a stick which will be many years from now hopefully!

I’d keep it if possible - FWIW Doug Demuro’s latest video is about “Best Driving Experience Cars” and features the S2000 on his list - his discussion of the S2000 commences around the 5:20 mark:
