Infrared v. Flare Yellow v. Suzuka Blue
So I drove up to meet this sweet Grandma selling her one owner 2005 Suzuka Blue S2000 with only 35,000 miles and a perfect CarFax today and an Infrared rolled up! Cool gentleman walked over to check out both our cars - this is the first Infrared I’ve seen in person. Told him about the CL forum so he might be joining us. Before the Infrared arrived there was a truck full of about 5 lawn care workers taking a break and they all got out to come check out the S2000 - they pretty much ignored my LC500!
Anyway I bought this as a nice little stablemate for my LC - I test drove it hard and holy crap what an awesome little car - it’s like a 240hp go-kart It’s been a while since I’ve owned a manual and I’m still smiling from rowing through all the gears
The lady was in tears after we did the deal and I was getting ready to drive away. Said she’s moving back to Colorado Springs where she originally bought the car in the summer of 2005 . Told her if I ever do a cross country trip I’d hit her up and take her on a ride up Pike’s Peak

More pics of my S2000 - check out the blue interior The 6 spd manual in this thing is like butter!
3,700 rpm in 6th to go 70, I’m guessing the LC’s doing only 1,500 rpm in 10th at the same speed

Wow! Congratulations!!!
Looks fantastic!
I always remember the S2000 shifters being described as buttery smooth, the best of the segment.
You have a beautiful GT in the LC500 and an engaging and fun manual transmission sports car in the S2000 to rev and “click, click” through the gears.
Enjoy!

Just got her home to Clearwater - this thing is an absolute blast to drive - I felt like Mario Andretti I’ve wanted one ever since I went to a Honda dealer way back in 2000 to buy a CR-V cuz I was about to have a kid and needed an SUV. They had a gorgeous Silverstone Metallic S2000 on display in the showroom that I lusted after and wasn’t even allowed to sit in - it had a big “market adjustment” on it since they had just come out. Now 23 years later my son’s about to graduate college and I’m in a position to buy another toy - I paid Grandma the original MSRP on her window sticker plus $1K which was just under her asking price.
Grandma still had the spare key and fob as well as the valet key still attached to the original dealer doohickey with what I’m guessing is the radio code. I’d be lucky if I could still find my spare LC500 key, LOL. In addition to the original window sticker and all the books and maintenance records I also found a 2005 Honda S2000 brochure in pristine condition sitting in the storage pocket on the back of the passenger seat

Not only that, it comes with FOUR speakers to enjoy that CD player with - just nine fewer speakers than in my LC I didn’t try it out but Grandma said it worked so I trusted her. What I was really happy to see just now on the window sticker is it’s “Pre-wired for XM Satellite Radio” - not sure what that means exactly but if I could get XM going that would be awesome cuz that’s what I listen to 90% of the time. I didn’t even think XM was a thing in 2005 but I guess it was. IIRC back in the day when XM first came out you had to get a separate receiver and mount an antenna somewhere on your car.

So nice to see that this sweet Grandma has great taste in manual transmission cars.
Maybe she’ll continue her driving excitement with an EV like this lovely grandmother…

Nice little sporty car to compliment your LC. I have a porsche 718 spyder to alternate with the LC. Great to have variety for fun drives. It's too bad Fla. has such flat straight roads. You would love to rev out the Honda on the twisty, hilly roads up here in CT. But your winters are a little nicer. Good luck and happy motoring.
