Default 2024 Dynamic handling package discrepancy

While configuring a ‘24 LC500 coupe online the DH package is $ 9750.

The car I got has a DH package for $ 6400 with Yamaha damper and performance brake pads missing from the description.

Online there is no package like this.

What’s going on?

Weird - I thought the LSD always came paired with the Yamaha damper, at least that’s how it was on my 2021 where that bundle is a $460 stand alone option. Do you happen to also have the Sport Package as well? I have a 2023 brochure and it shows the LSD/Yamaha damper and the performance brake pads as coming with the Sport Package, but if you get the Dynamic Handling Package it automatically comes with everything in the Sport Package plus the additional goodies - see pic below from the 23 brochure. So maybe Lexus gives a credit or discount on the price of the DHP if you are also getting the SP?

Another thing is sometimes a manufacturer doesn’t include every single item that comes with a package on the window sticker. I bought a new C8 Corvette with the Z51 package and there were a couple of items that were definitely on the car because of the package but did not make the cut to be listed on the window sticker.

No sports package. Here is the actual sticker for my car. Wonder if Yamaha was not available and so it was deleted and the price decreased!

Did you, per chance, look under the LC to see if the damper is installed❓ I'm betting it's there

I have a strong feeling that the "Build Your Lexus" online price for the Dynamic Handling is wrong. That package has been priced, in prior years @ $9,570. Prior to 2024 it included the addition of 21" forged alloy wheels. The standard wheels were 20" cast alloy. in MY2024 the standard wheel is now the 21" forged wheel. That wheel used to be an extra cost option of $2,650. If we add $6,400 + $2,650 we come up with a total of $9,050. The difference to $9,750, I would say is a price increase.

Looks like SickPuppy solved the mystery. Note that in the 2nd window sticker he posted for the 2021 with the DHP it makes no mention of the Yamaha damper just like in the OP’s window sticker it also omits any mention of it. But in the brochure I posted it makes it clear that the damper is part of the DHP by virtue of it being part of the SP.

Edit: Is the “key glove” listed above in all three of the window stickers just a cover for the key? I saw a pic of an LC500 for sale and noticed the key had what looked like a toasted caramel cover I’m assuming I can still buy one for 25 bucks from Lexus? My poor man’s version didn’t come with the $280 trunk mat, cargo net, wheel lock, key glove package or the stand alone $25 version

^^^^My OEM Fob cases are sitting in a drawer unused. For both my Silverado and the LC, I used key gloves from eBay. My LC one is like this:

Much better than OEM.

However if you like OEM, they are also on eBay.

Thanks sickpuppy but that thing looks twice as big as it needs to be - why is it so big? (that’s what she said )

Ot's not - it's the same size as the fob

This is mine along with the fob for my truck.

Okay cool thanks, for some reason the pic in the ad made it look twice as big as the fob

I'm still confused by this ... My window sticker for my 2024 LC has the same $6400 dynamic handling package (and I've looked up multiple other window stickers here in the US and all Dynamic handling packages are $6400)... Does this mean all the website builds are inflated/incorrect? That would seem like quite the oversight to me by Lexus. The math makes sense from SickPuppy regarding the wheels, but even still - that means the website is producing inaccurate builds if the package is off by $3300. They should have updated it to remove the forged wheels from the package price.

I just built my exact spec car on the site and it's off by the price difference of the Dynamic Handling package ($3350). Site is $111,935 and my sticker was $108,585

Yes I had the same question but I was happy to pay less vs the website to the dealer. I was assuming they increased the price recently and mine missed the hike cutoff …

Ha! Yes, 6400 is certainly okay in my book, just not at all a fan of things not adding up (literally).. Too large an oversight to not be curious.

Cost ambiguity generally never favors the purchaser .
