Is LC500 Vert > Roma Spider
Just watched this review of the beautiful Roma Spider - I noticed many similarities to the LC500 (e.g. the first front engined soft-top Ferrari in almost 50 years) so I figured it was time for another poll
I love the light blue color of the Roma Spider in this review - if I squint my eyes it almost reminds me of my Suzuka Blue S2000

Sitting still and parked side-by-side, my LC Vert looks good for 40% (probably 30% after options) of the price of a Roma Spyder (MSRP in Canada).
Drive the cars and, if I had the money and an MSRP allocation (not happening), it’s all Ferrari - no contest here!

It’s a beautiful car but I don’t think it’s any more beautiful than the LC. I think they are probably the two best looking Verts on the market now. I obviously haven’t driven one but I think for my driving style I would prefer the LC500. I do occasional blasts from 0-80 but other than that it’s mainly boulevard cruising for me and from watching that vid the little 3.8 turbo V8 of the Roma does not sound nearly as awesome as the LC’s normally aspirated 5.0 V8.
Also if I were to go on a cross country road trip I for sure would pick the LC as I would have no faith at all that the Ferrari would actually get me there and back. And for the extra money it would cost to get the Roma I could take my lady friend on a couple dozen Hawaiian vacations - so I voted for the LC 🙂

Agree with your points, GatorGreg, particularly the visual appeal of these traditionally styled verts (long nose front engine RWD)
I haven’t seen a Roma Spyder in person but I’ve seen the Roma coupe and I do not like the nose profile. It’s too shark-like for my taste.
Noted from the review you posted, it seems like the structural rigidity of the Roma Spyder is higher than the LC. Coupled with the significantly more powerful powertrain and racier suspension, the Roma is a higher performing GT.
Our exhaust is fantastic.
Our vehicle reliability and maintenance costs will be much better.
If I had “crazy money” I’d want both.
