Protective coating.
I will be ordering a 2024 LC coupe next week. Coming from Porsche and BMWs this is a different experience for me but I知 excited to get an NA V8 in a platform that is biased for comfort. I知 contemplating 2 color choices. I already have 2 white cars that are really easy to care for but thinking about Gray or Caviar. I expect more effort to keep the bumper area clean but what about the leading edge of the rear fender? Is this area prone to pitting from road debris kicked up by the front tires? Are people running high performance (sticky) tires? My experience with a 911 leads me to believe this area will be heavily pitted when running high performance summer tires. Are owners using Xpel or similar on this surface? (BTW I致e found you order what they are building but hoping they are more flexible with colors)

Similar to @Enzo954 , I would recommend PPF. Mine has the front up to the A pillar plus the leading edge in front of the rear tires. One benefit is the 360 camera on the 24 model. I did scratch the front simply because the parking sensors didn't warn me properly and I bumped into things....
If you want a bit more comfort and don't do track or drive your cars beyond 8/10th then you will be super happy.

I also have PPF on the front clip of the car, A-pillar, rear view mirrors, roof, and the "samurai swords" leading to the back of the car, and the black piece that sits between the rear deck and the rear window. I went with a ceramic coat and it's been fantastic for maintaining the cleanliness of the car.

I did expel on the whole car except the rear bumper and trunk lid. My thinking was that this car has wide hips that could susceptible to small debris and scratches. I then had it coated with Modesta. Really happy with the result. I also have a Cayman GTS. I did the same thing on that car (except I used Crystal Serum instead of Modesta). Cayman definitely attracts more debris so the expel really saves me on that one.

Thanks for the input. Decided on black paint so will need full front and rear fender coverage. Might include the doors depending on the cost.
The dealer had one convertible on the lot with a very nice red paint but that痴 a little to bright for me. I prefer darker blues but none are offered so black it is. Exhaust was really too quiet. Car had just arrived so was a warm engine start. I wonder if these cars have the soot filter that is required in Europe. These muffle the exhaust sound to some degree.
Noticed the car had summer tires. Will see if I can swap for non-run flat all season tires, otherwise will.be quite dangerous to drive in cold/wet and snow. Hard to imagine they would deliver a car with high performance summer tires in snow country.
