I just watched that while having lunch. If that video doesn’t make you run into the dealership and get one, I don’t know what will.
It’s the best LC500 marketing material anywhere by anyone including Lexus themselves.

Did you guys see that? I mean the guy is talking about how to put in park and emergency brake. I thought it is so obvious to put car in park without placing it in neutral first. Maybe i didn’t understand something.

about the vipers it is a neat trick, but I believe you all know that you can move viper arms just pulling them and pushing them back and they move freely not like on my other Lexus you can’t move them and only if you apply some force they will switch to winter position.

It is a year old video, but still worth to watch if you making a decision about LC500 convertible.

@microsup Actually I often switch the car off without putting it into park first, since it will automatically put it into park for you....

Default 2023 lc500

It's fun to watch someone who is not familiar with the LC experience it up close.
I don't think it's in the owners manual, but it's not good practice to store any bumpers in the front seat

LC at 9:24 mark

Probably, $25K repair at a minimum.

So very sad to see this fine automobile in this condition! I hope whoever repairs it respectfully removes the exterior pieces from the interior without ruining everything!

Here's a June 20, 2024 review from cars.com for the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Convertible.

Some takes:
  • THE most underrated car you can buy today
  • 2024 is the arguably the best year to buy due the elimination of that horrible touchpad interface
  • Yamaha-tuned V8 doesn't sound American nor European. It is its own delicious thing!
  • Sounds unbelievable. Looks unbelievable. You feel like a billion dollars driving down the road.

Great endorsement of the LC 500 convertible although the copper crest w/blue + white interior model in the video isn't my favorite color combo and I think he was a bit too critical of the former touchpad (maybe because I drive a 2023 model myself and like the 'old' style dash/clock better) ...

I like the newer tech much better. However, I do need to get used to the lack of the analog clock. There are 3 different ways to tell time though. One in the dash. The left corner of the native navi screen. Or right corner of the navi screen if connected to CarPlay. I get confused as to which one to look at.
It is a lot more responsive and LTA is much more usable combined with radar cruise control. And 360 camera.

I just don't understand the hate the touch pad gets, I have one and I am good with it. Now the touch screen is superior for sure but the integration into the dash is inferior to prior model years. So it is a personal choice between the 2023 and earlier model set up or the new one, I prefer what I currently have for aesthetic reasons.

You have to understand that these YouTube reviewers have the car for less than a couple days. They don’t have the time to learn and get used to more cumbersome tech.

Here's Jalopnik's take on the 2024 LC500 Coupe.

Some takes:
  • Over 1,239 miles driven by reviewer
  • Prettiest car on sale today
  • People look at it wherever you go
  • Averaged 22 mpg
  • Super reliable V8 engine that has been in production for 17 years
  • Refreshed infotainment works super-duper well and elevates the LC as one of the best cars in the world
    • Previous trackpad system brought the whole car down
  • Reviewer truly wants one now and will be looking at used LC prices

Previous trackpad system brought the whole world down and he’s looking for a used one? Lol
It’ll be awhile if at all that the ‘24+ price will come down. By the time some ‘24 hit the used market, Lexus likely has stopped production of the V8 so the used prices will not go down that much.
Best time to buy used LC is now. But that means the trackpad as used ‘21 MY or prior are priced very nicely.

Last week I saw a 24 coupe w/ dynamic handling (nori green and tan), less than 3k miles in…I want to say NC, in any case across the country from me, listed for $98k. Not bad already.
