Scott Pruett did a hot lap with 3 of us in the car and beat our best time by 2 1/2 seconds on a ~26 second course. It was a violent ride, like being inside a clothes dryer.

Thoroughly enjoyed today’s performance driving program at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Was very impressed by the LC500 coupes that performed flawlessly the entire day during the lead-follow performance driving on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
90+ degrees most of the day and no operational issues for the cars…impressive!
If you’re tempted to register for the program, do it!!

I had mixed emotions after I did the school at Mid-Ohio last year. I primarily went to drive a LC since it was my hopeful next car, but was really looking forward to track time in general.
Brake exercise: since they used the LC it was good to see what the car could do (and was very impressed!). Having some track time I've done some heavy braking, but for someone who has never really pushed a car this is a great learning tool.
Autox: This was actually the most fun event of the day. I would go to another event just to do this again, lol. It's one of those things where only time in the car gets you better so I was itching to do more. The pro laps were awesome to watch - it's always fun to see what a car can really do and what I could improve on.
Track: I was getting close to midnight hopping in a LC to go around the track (which I was practicing in my sim for a few weeks to memorize), and then after a quick conversation with the instructor went back to 6 o'clock. There's no pushing of the car if you're following the instructor and overall lap time is dependent on the other groups and drivers. There was a group that didn't go over 50mph, so it threw everyone out of whack. My group was just 3 guys and all had track experience, so our instructor fell back and a bit and tried to give us some decent runs on parts of the track where possible. Even then, we weren't "allowed" to go over 80-90 on the back straight so the people bringing up the rear took turns falling back and opening it up (we could get around 120-130).
Drift: Our drift area was on a pretty bad incline so by the time you adjusted to the ups and downs the time was up
Overall the event is definitely tailored to people who have never really pushed a car in various aspects, so I think it's well worth it for those folks. The majority of people there were actually from dealers so it made a ton of sense for employees to do more in the cars than go for test drives. For someone wanting more advanced learning and seat time not the ideal day.
