Cool Bagged LC500 Fitment & Discussion Thread

Hi guys, new member but long time LC owner here. I myself having many discussions on wheel specs and bagged / air-ride fitment for wheels, as well as having a lot of general air-ride related questions for installs.

I want to use this thread so that anybody who has any general inquiries about air suspension can come in here and ask their questions, and we can bounce our ideas off of each other.

Hahaha, in all seriousness, I have a long background in product development for a variety of automotive platforms, including the LC500. A platform like the LC truly deserves to have more options!

He’s a nice guy (I’ve met him in person) but he doesn’t hold back on his opinions, LOL

As the LC is a 4500lbs GT car, not a pure sports car, VIP/Stance builds don't bother me in the least and I enjoy seeing them.

Looks like you are running a nice, nonaggressive wheel/alignment. Do you mind sharing the wheel/tire and alignment specs? Also, how much did you have clearance the fender, and did you delete the fender liners entirely?

Are you running any adjustable arms?

How much poke is there when it's aired up at driving height?

I can understand why someone may have air suspension in their build, though personally it's not for me. From an aesthetic's standpoint, I look as if the car looks "broken" when aired out.

But, with that said, OP - love the time and effort you put into the car, it's still an impressive build.

Naw. A complete waste of breath.
If they don't figure it out While they own it, they damn sure will when they try to sell it, even massively more so if they try and trade it in. Mr. Sorry we're not interested Sales Manager will be happy to clue them in. He doesn't have to worry about getting his pee pee spanked for being antisocial in the LC room either. 😋

Looks good, have seen her car in the FB groups... Suprisingly there quite a few bagged LCs around, so hopefully this thread gets some discussions.

Hi,

Apologies for the delay, I was out of town and was unable to answer messages.

The wheel specs for these E6 Forged SF5 are 21 x 9.5 with 275s in the front and 21 x 11 with 315s in the rear. They clear the fenders perfectly with no rubbing issues, and we were able to retain the fender liners. We are running stock control and cambner arms, and there is no poke at drive height, the wheels are perfectly flush with the fender and quarter panel.

Wow, no trimming and no liner delete. Are you able to provide wheel offsets or drive height pictures?

Thanks for this. So many people gatekeep their builds, which is detrimental to the community and only results in other people wasting money on redundant trial and error.

This is great to hear since I just got my new set of wheels with this exact measurements. But I will probably go smaller on the tires, Front - 245 and Rear - 285. The tires will have a tad bit of stretch to let the body drop down even further when aired out. I think I have the only build thread in the LC forum since people here dislike modding this amazing vehicle. Are you thinking of going the T-Demand route to drop the LC even further? Its quite expensive but the results compliment the LC well.

Your wife’s LC looks great! Very clean. Did you have to roll or shave the fenders to fit those wheels?

I like bagged cars myself, mostly because you don’t have to be slammed all the time. All of my cars would be bagged for that reason.

Having come from a MB SL, I wouldn't want air suspension with all its complicated repairs. I spent too much $$ fixing the ABC air suspension system in the Benz. Maybe Lexus is better and more reliable, but once burned, twice shy.
