Thanks for the info. Just to be clear, this bulletin is for those who are wanting to replace with the aftermarket, and if we keep the OEM wheels and bolts, we're ok right? Other than this, not sure what Lexus is getting at here. Is this the point of the bulletin? Warn the customer of the dangers of replacing the bolts with non-compatible bolts?

Or are they saying the OEM bolts are dangerous and should notify the customer and yet they will not replace them?

yes oem wheels are fine, just if you were to use aftermarket wheels and bolts then it might potentially cause the wheels to fall off.

Makes sense! I know at least for the LCs, Lexus Japan made a huge deal about the new bolt architecture and how its supposed to make you feel more connected to the pavement / feedback. For the LC, I will never change out the wheels. Not a big wheel guy, and love the current ones I have (bespoke wheels). But for the 23 GX (which is also listed), this is a very important piece of information as I am planning to convert this to an over-landing rig dedicated to the west coast. I had no idea. Thank you!

Thx for posting! I've been around mechanics from a young age and fortunately understand this tsb. However, i've had discussions w/many friends of mine, supposed car guys no less, who feel a nut is a nut, unaware of the differences. Some weren't even aware of lug bolts ('24MY was a surprise to me). I have a torque wrench hanging on my wall, and check nuts (now added bolts) on all my cars a few times a month. Such an overlooked component. Thx again, i'm grateful for this tsb👍🏽

I'm always amazed at people who replace the lug nuts/bolts with lighter (and/or prettier) ones, when your life (and others') depends on those bolts. It's crazy to me, but to each his own.
