Does it require the removal of the big plastic trim which houses the LTA cameras just above the mirror? I am interested in this not for the dashcam, but to install Commai Ai. I don't want to just start yanking this thing as I will most likely break a tab or two. Any hints (perhaps a photo) would be greatly appreciate it.

Vantrue N4 hardwired. Front/Rear and Cabin facing dash cam. Mounted to securely to rearview mirror and wires tucked in along headliner and down A-pillar.

Took about 30 minutes to install.

Can you or dknyov pls add pics to show how rear camera cable is routed to avoid damage from top mechanism? TIA.

Mine is done by a shop, so I have no idea where they are hide the wire for the front and rear.

I installed the Vantrue in my truck. I mounted rear camera on rear window, so cable has some slack to allow for opening. When you operate top, can you see any wires hanging?

No wire hanging. You installed camera on rear window, that why.

Apologies Duke, I was running on three hours of sleep - I didn't read that this was for the convertible, as mine is the coupe.

Can you share where/how you hardwired the vantrue n4? Would love to do the install myself if it's simple enough to find somewhere to tap into. @tofuprod
