Dash applique for blank button
I don't know about others, but the blank button on the 4-button array on the lower left drivers dash drives me nuts. Thought I'd inject some subtle humor and fix the blank with a sticker applique found on Etsy. Anybody else have other ideas they have tried? Still haven't heard why there is a blank in the #2 position on all our cars.

I considered buying a sacrificial one on eBay for $45 when I installed the front bumper camera. Take it apart and put one of the functional buttons in its place on the original cluster. The buttons are sensitive so I was concerned about hitting the trunk release by accident and the button that comes with the camera is easy to find without looking.
I'm not sure what is used with the pins on the cluster or the wiring harness, possibly drill a hole behind the new button for the device wiring if the pins didn't work out. I should have played with it when the dash was apart but by that time I was ready to get it put back together and be done with it.

You know what? I did the same thing when installing the front camera, removing the button cluster and even removing the blank to see how it could be modified or removed. I also was more in a hurry to put it back together so reassembled it and was waiting to see if someone else had it figured out along with reattaching the button wiring to the added button to make the connection and how to make the label. So far, nothing good has come up. Hoping someone else had a better answer and solution.

Originally ordered the medium and it was too large. Reordered the small and it was perfect.

The blank button has to do with a feature only available in Japan. it’s to turn on/off social car 2 car communication system. not sure exactly what the ‘killer app’ is, but similarly equipped vehicles in Japan to talk each other to form a network feedback + traffic data sharing.
Not available here in the US as everyone is too concerned about breach of privacy built into the car by default or everyone here just uses Wayze. hope this helps.

You guys made my day at first glance I thought the icon shows man pooping.
but the idea is cool, and I would use it for the same thing, I just need to install the camera first .

I purchased this as well, but found the seller included a cat sticker which resembles my Ragdoll, so for now I applied it to the open button.

I received mine today. This thing is whiter than the pictures are showing, and with the bolder lines it will scream at me every time I open the door so I took it off
Came with a nice thank you letter and personalized envelope.
