Looking for some advice….
So my 2024 LC brings me so much joy. Just drove from L.A. to Las Vegas for Super Bowl and what an absolute pleasure!! A wonderful touring car. I unfortunately have a small rattle right on top of the drivers side dash. It will rattle for about 10 minutes and then completely disappear. It happened on the way there and never heard it again, even for the 4.5 hours on the way back. Now again it reappeared today. I took it to the dealer before the trip and the tech drove it for 8 miles and crickets, he did not hear a thing. Nothing appeared as I guessed would happen. I am think of trying to stuff some foam insulation between the windshield and dash on the drivers side. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of some type of foam insulation that I might stuff in between there, that would not have adhesive on either side. Sorry for the long story, but I would truly like to solve this issue. Thanks in advance!

You could try Backer Rod. Local home store will have it. Maybe get two different diameters to see which works best. Just an idea. If you haven't used it before or are unfamiliar with it, just search on line for Backer Rod.

You are very welcome. Maybe order 3/8 as well. Using the backer rod will allow you to get a good idea of where the noise is coming from. If you choose to follow up with the dealer, you can show them. Also keep in mi d the backer rod can be "squished" into place without harming anything. Forgive my scientific terminology.

I had left the sticker about Lexus SOS on the lights. When my windows where down I could here a rattle I thought was from dash. Come to find out it was the stick in the headliner over the light area making the noise.
