Default Body panel question

A few months ago, a careless driver (who happens to be an employee of the company of which I am an owner), hit my parked 2020 LC. There is paint damage and the rear panel’s rivets were dislodged. A local body shop wants $2500 to replace and paint the bumper cover as well as repair the dislodged panel. I have a high deductible and would prefer not to go through insurance for this damage.

I feel as though I can improve the paint damage to look acceptable with detailing techniques I have acquired over the years. The damage actually looks worse in the picture than in reality. I don’t need it to look factory new. My question is, how difficult is it to pop the panel back in to position? It appears to move easily, but obviously don’t want to cause further damage to the car. I realize there are professionals to do this and I don’t want to be penny wise and pound foolish. But, this seems as though it should not be difficult to fix with a few tips and some trim tools.

Any thoughts?

If you don't want to go through your insurance company, then don't.
The guy who did the damage should be picking up the tab.
If he doesn't have the coin or the insurance to cover the damage, then the ball is in your court.

The rear bumper is held on by two screws up by the trunk, one in each fender and four screws underneath the car. Everything else is clips. The dislodged panel is held on by 3 screws and a bunch of clips.
