A-Pillar wrapped in black. What do you think?

A-Pillar wrapped in black. What do you think?
Does it accentuate the body-line more?
Some before & after shots & tail light & front headlight trims in CF. I like it a lot. Front headlight trim in CF makes the headlights much bigger. It almost makes the headlights more proportional to the grill. Very pleased with the results!

non taken. I thought so too at first, but now to see the photo of fully painted a-pillar looks weird. currently raining so i didnt take the top down. it grows on you real fast. I first learned of this concept while configuring my 718 Spyder RS (Roadster). Porsche offers this options (matt black), and for a convertible vehicle, it looks more weird with the a-pillar painted. The idea is that when you remove the bright paint from the a-pillar, the eyes focus more on the body / rest of the brighter colors, thereby accentuating the boding much more. When the sun comes back out, i’ll post some more pics with the top down. On the LC, i went with gloss black wrap to match the shiny black trims.
Here’s a photo of the 718 Spyder RS that’s on order. check out the A-Pillar here.

Seems the Porsche's hood lines flow into the door/body and not the A Pillar, and why transition is seamless. While the LC's flows directly into the A Pillar, and probably why Lexus has its pillars hood color.

I was prepared to dislike it from the title. That was wrong and it’s an improvement.
The car’s shoulder-line styling is really abrupt and jagged; function following form I presume. Blacking that a-pillar out restores some of the shoulder-line, and it de-emphasizes the extreme windscreen rake. I like it.

Yes that’s true. I also know that this is very subjective. I just got this done, and it’s still pouring rain outside. i’ll take the top down and snap some more photos in the sunlight. At least in the garage, it looks great to me. matches the mirror cap + glossy black trim all around the vehicle perfectly.

My personal opinion is, it would look better if you not do it in piano black but close to the color of you roof material, also wrap the top of the window frame then it might look better than now.
currently you have carnival of colors which makes it look not eye pleasing. As well as everybody already noticed that hood line is not coming to the door panel which makes it look not as good as Porsche. No offense but at first glance it looks like that your car was repaired with new panels and was not painted yet.
see that corvette above, it also has a body shape which allows to have A-Pilar to be different color without visual issues.

This is a very subjective thing. Everyone’s brutally honest opinions are welcome. I like it. You may not.
Sharing what I’ve done based on my taste plus some-what experimental.. Here are some more pics took just now after a how wash. Notice all of the upper trims around the car was also wrapped to match.
Couple of shots with the top up.

CF lights / tails look perfect, still think the A pillar looks a little weird. Maybe if you wrapped it matte but also had a matte top... or maybe matte blue to match that top. i dont know. it just looks off to me.
