Savagegeese Review of the LC 500 Convertible - Get One While You Can
#16
Agree with you about the Garage thing. Every time I open the door it's looking at me like one of my Dogs wanting to go out and play! The Convertible for me is more of an "ethereal" experience, besides, living in the Detroit area there are way too many performance cars to compete with (and money for those cars). I unfortunately can hear Woodward avenue (M1) and sometimes the M1 Concourse track all day long ;(

It is indeed VERY useful, however the front camera is easy to add on preMY2024 models with the Beat-Sonic kit. I've had it on my LC for three years now and wouldn't want to be without it

Unless you know what you are doing - In this arena - I Don't
Had it professionally installed:
I have speed activation and I let it do its thing, automatically. I rarely activate it with the button because it displays when I need it. I have never had a screen freeze.

Anybody on the fence about getting one - I would Highly recommend to buy. The Lexus V8 doesn’t have many years left unfortunately.
The best part of the review was when the engine noise was muting most of the negatives Jack was complaining about.

I saw that Savagegeese was asked on Reddit about whether rear steer, VGRS and Torsen LSD was worth it, despite being hard to find. The answer was an unequivocal yes. It's something I was always curious about as a potential coupe buyer and the fact that some nice Inspiration Series (like Nori Green 2020) didn't have these options.

for the average driver the base car is more than adequate. I dont go tearing up the twisties in the canyons. I drive maturely and get it on occasioinally... there are so many CHP on the roadways here it is just a matter of time before ur popped for speeding+.

Having tested both, I don't think those options really increase performance. It does, however, make the car *feel* smaller than it is, which goes a long way since this is a relatively long and heavy car. It just depends what you are used to driving, I think.

I wish RWS was offered as an option on Bespoke build! Don’t care for VGRS or the automatic wings but RWS is the only thing I care for. I understand the convertible take up space for RWS to work but there’s no reason why a bespoke coupe cannot have the RWS. Unless…there’s some secret add that Bespoke coupe has that prohibit the RWS. I’m a little bummed out that I missed the RWS again. When GS350 came out, RWS was offered but only in their RWD trim. I’m in NE and dealers only bring in the AWD. Then the GSF was never offered with RWS. I now have an LC500 without RWS. I guess it’s not meant to be.
However, the dark chrome trim is a must have for me and it’s only available in the Bespoke build. key card is nice too. And oh, the certificate that I’m still waiting for.
