How’s the Alcantara holding up in different colors?
I’ve always assumed that dark alcantara holds up better than something like Toasted Caramel, forget about white as I can’t keep white clean, but I’ve never seen old Lexus alcantara. (Just lots of German stuff.) How are high milage ‘18s aging? Black interiors on non-white LCs seem harder to come by, so I’m trying to see if I can talk myself into a lighter interior option.

I don't own an LC (although I hope to soon), but I have checked out several 2018's in the past couple of months, ranging from 25k-60k miles (all with red or black interiors). The alcantara looked fine on all of them. The first point of failure on all of them is the leather on the driver seat side bolster that gets a lot of stress from the driver getting in and out of the car. As the driver's butt scrapes across it regularly, eventually the leather gives way and reveals white material underneath.

Appreciated. I parked cars that cost as much as houses in my formative years, and don’t weigh a ton, so I’m pretty good to bolsters. I guess I’m worried about dirt showing up. I have a beater car with alcantara that I (and my $750/month NYC parking lot guys) abuse behind what is appropriate, and the dark gray hides it well. I think I would’ve rubbed through the pile if I had to keep a lighter color clean by shampooing the carpet. The LC won’t be making the trip into the city.
