I've never had a car with lug bolts vs lug nuts, what does this pin do and is it necessary if pulling wheels off? I'll need to pull mine to ceramic them

Are the bolts 14x1.5 on the 24s?

Main func of pin is to hold wheel in place during lugbolt install. I ordered the 14x1.5 pin but have yet to test fit. Something to do tomorrow before all the bbq n fireworks😁

As noted in several amazon reviews the knurled end will damage your rim as you slide the bolt hole over it. Not a very good design!?

Maybe a little electrical tape on the knurled part would help?

Yeah I was just gonna put a couple layers of left over vinyl wrap over it.
