Default Are Inspiration Katanas Black?

I’d thought that the Bespoke Dark Chrome package also changed the Katanas, but that was wrong. Given that the Inspiration has black on the rear diffuser, are the Katanas also black? This is my last Inspiration question. Probably.

Based on a google image search of past models, no they are shiny chrome. Although that was looking for 2022 and older. This 2024 coupe listed in Oklahoma seems to have black. It appears the 2024 Inspiration even has blacked out other bites (like the mirror as well as the light trim) if you search for images online.

Thank you, much. I found a video where they look black. That one you found has chrome exhaust tips that I don’t believe it’s supposed to have. Interesting. I’d need to check the video from the salesman, again, but I believe his car had black tips.

Please share if you see factory black tips, because that's something I haven't seen yet.

I found the sales video, and you can’t see the tips. I’m trying to figure out where I might’ve seen them. I know that there’s an aftermarket option, but I’m all but certain that I saw a photo with them installed. Maybe I’m imagining it.

A matter of opinion of course but I don’t know what’s the big deal with chrome. With the chrome katana and the chrome trim on the mirrors, when you have the mirror fold in(door locked), they accent the car extremely well when looking from the side and the front/side.

I got tired of looking at the chrome textured tail lights pretty quick and didn't want to wrap the texture, so I went with the CF covers. I don't want to stick on any additional CF parts, but I could see myself blacking out the other chrome at some point.
This video was posted a few days ago. A good example of what Infrared looks like when blacked out.

I did a lot more than just the Katanas:

Took about three hours, as I recall, for everything.

How has it held up for the last few years? Any need to reapply?
