Default Aftermarket wheels - measurements to match stock for MY2024+

So, as some of you may know, my USB 2.0/caramel coupe is coming in December. I, perhaps foolishly, didn't option up the wheels and so it's the standard (IMO, unattractive) wheel. But, I'm not to fussed about it since I always thought it would look pretty slick with bronze wheels. However, I never actually bought aftermarket wheels before, never got around to it on previous cars. So, as I wade through things like fitment, I want to be triple sure I am doing this right. The intent is to achieve stock fitment. I don't want to mess around with spacers, etc. and would prefer to just slap on the tires that come with the car. Basically, completely new to this.

From what I've gathered:

Bolt pattern: 5x120mm (changed from before)
Front: 8.5Jx21 ET25
Rear:
9.5Jx21 ET25

However, I'm a little lost on offsets. Is there an acceptable range for offsets? It seems the recommended options on most sites are 16mm, 18mm and 20mm, nothing larger and no negative offsets.

Should I consider 20" and get new tires? Not ideal, but from a ride comfort standpoint smaller is better and there are many more options at 20". And these used to come with 20"s but no longer, so that seems okay.

For example, and only as an example so don't roast me since these are not the wheels I will buy, these BBS wheels seem like they might work - 2 for the front and 2 for the back to maintain the staggered set up the LC 500 comes with.

There's something else you might want to consider - wheel material. The choices are cast, flow formed, and forged. Cast are the cheapest and heaviest, flow formed are just a bit lighter and cost a bit more, forged are the lightest and by far the costliest. As far as size, Lexus discontinued the 20" wheel and IMHO, I think you should stick with the 21" size. I'm on my third set of wheels. My LC orliginally came with 20s I quickly shed those for a set of Vossen flow formed wheels. After a catastrophic flat that destroyed a wheel, I upgraded to a set of Vossen forged wheels. But, my wheels are 1" wider than stock, front, and rear and I run bigger tires:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lc-...02-wheels.html

My wheel dimensions are:

9½" front and 10½" rear. Offsets are +5 in front and +15 in the rear. I run 255/40/21 in front and 295/35/21 in back.,

You may not want to be as aggressive as I was. But, I would increase wheel width by at least ½" front and rear. IMHO, the stock wheels are a bit sunken in and you may want to consider less offset to bring the wheels closer to the outer edge of the wheel well.

If you stick with the stock widths, you will want to find something in the +5-10 offset range. This will push the wheels further out towards the fender, giving a more flush appearance. The stock rims sit sunk into the wheel well quite a bit. The benefit of that is a bit of added protection against curbing your wheels, but at the cost of a flush and uniform look across the side of the vehicle. You'll see a lot of people on stock wheels run a 20mm spacer all around, which effectively the same as reducing the wheel offset of the factory wheels from +25 to +5.

If you go with a wider wheel, you can get away with closer to the stock offset as the width of the wheel will naturally push it out towards the fender a little.

IMO +32 and +40 on the 8.5 and 9.5 rims will look bad, and I am not even sure it would clear the brakes.

Lastly, once you have some time in it, you will see that the 21s with the side profile of the tire from the factory gives a very smooth ride. I think downsizing to 20" for ride quality would be a marginal difference at best that sacrifices the unique appearance of the 21s. If budget and tire choice are a factor though then that should be considered as part of that choice.

I just went thru this months ago..Wanted to use stock tires 21". Went with AvantGarde M520R graphite metallic...
fronts are 9"(stock 8.5")
rears are 10.5"(stock 9.5")
both offsets are 15 for a nice flush finish
couldnt be happier, lots of + comments, painted calipers for visual effect.
Ceramic coated wheels after tire install, easy to keep clean.
Im keeping ugly stock petal wheels just in case.

^ I think this is the ideal setup of staying with 21s! Looks perfect.

Did you paint the calipers yourself or had them done? I'm planning on doing mine this weekend using a G2 kit I bought years ago, also orange. Debating whether to keep the white LEXUS as you have or go with a black decal instead. I didn't think white would look good but it does on yours.

Hub bore is 82? Big diff from <24 MY of 60.1. Something else to consider if you ever want to upgrade your brakes, some wheel mfrs offer diff wheel face/disk types. Work Wheel has 3 diff disc types; A (Std. Fits most oem calipers), O (Least amount of caliper space but deep lip), and R (Max caliper space, shallow lip). Nomenclature varies so discuss w/sales rep.

Thanks all. A lot of food for thought. No issues staying with 21s and interesting but makes sense re: offset. I’ll need to do more shopping because I’d like to avoid buying wheels then needing to powder coat them.

Alot of aftermarket wheels unless they are custom fit have a larger center bore to accomdate more makes and models but can use a hub ring to fit snugly over the hub.
