key fob and smart access card not working 2024 LC500 Convertible
2024 Inspiration series Convertible with 1,048 miles and both key fobs and smart access card are not working. Interesting part is when I use the mechanical key to unlock the door the car will start up however when I stop the car the fobs still can't lock/unlock the car. The car is currently at dealer and they said they fixed it, however when I went to pick up the car the car attendant came back and said the car won't unlock. The car is still at the dealership and I am waiting to hear an update. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this.

not to lock or unlock the car
I did open the App to look at the Drive Pulse but that was all. I panicked when the car wouldn't open at the store and I immediately went for the mechanical key, I wish I had thought about the App to see if that worked.

This happened to me yesterday. I used the Lexus app to unlock the car. I don’t use the key fob. I use a key card. So when someone wants to open the car and I’m inside the house, I use the app unlock and lock the car. After I’ve unlocked the car with the app, I got in the car(with the key card) and tried to start the car. It would not want to start. The “depress brake with a key” message keep popping up. I unlocked and locked the car, car still would not start. Tried to remote start the car with the app, error message popped up. I thought the car battery has died but how could it just died. I drove it right before and very often.
It’s only I got out of the car. Locked the car by pushing in the handle. Open it it again and every thing was back to normal. I think the computer got confused between which code method was being used. I’m going to try to duplicate this to confirm.

I called the dealership this afternoon to get an update on the status of my car, after they have not communicated in over 24 hours. Why is it that SA's just can't seem to communicate very well. Tracked down the SA and he said they are trying to get the sequence down that will cause the key fobs and access card not to work. They agree there is a problem. They are trying to determine if it the device on the outside of the car that gives the key fobs a number sequence or the device inside the car that determines if the key fobs or access cards are in the car. The SA said they need to determine which one before they can get Lexus to agree to replace the bad part. The SA also said it could be bad key fobs, yet that doesn't explain the access card not working. Tomorrow will be day 3 trying to get this fixed, then they will need to get the part shipped in so I don't expect this to be repaired very soon. My thoughts are just replace both parts and lets move.

update with potential problem found, fingers crossed
after 4 days at the dealer and getting the Lexus tech's out of Texas involved. They think the cause of my issue is a DC fuse not fully seated. As I understand it, this is a fuse that when the car is first unloaded and to bring the car to life they push in this particular DC fuse in the trunk to bring the car alive (in my terms of understanding). I guess they use the mechanical key to unlock the door, then the key fob once inside allows them to unlock/open the trunk to push into place the DC fuse. This would explain why I could start the car when I had to use the mechanical key to get into the car because the key fobs were not recognized by the car. I really hope this solves my problem as the tech's said they have not seen anything like this before.

Good to hear that the dealer was able to find the cause and solution to your problem.
I did confirm that if I use the Lexus apps to unlock the car, I cannot start the car with my key card unless I get out, lock the car, and open it again(with the key card).

This is not a one off issue it’s a software issue that is probably across the board at least with the key card.
