Default Door shell panel alignment - gap issue

Anyone else with a 2024 have this going on? Please see photos. I only noticed it today but now that I see it I can't unsee it. To me it doesn't look normal and looks like poor alignment there. Passenger side Pic also attached for reference which appears to have proper alignment and no gap.

Thoughts, should I mention to dealer?

I think I see what you’re saying. Are the panels not all planar on yours? That’s why it’s creating the non uniform gap?
Mine looks fine in that area. However, I did fine one gap that is quite larger than the other side.

Idk man I think the curves on this car continue to play games with me lol. I just took it out in the sun to wash the panel and get a better look and I don't see it anymore

The one gap that I find on mine didn’t match is the black trim on top of the door(where the glass goes in) does not match up with the other side.

Passenger side. The two black trims gap looks okay here.

Driver side. The two black trims gap look bigger here.

Passenger side measurement.

Driver side measurement

I don’t know what’s causing this gap difference. I checked everywhere else and they seem to be fine. I don’t know if the black trim piece themselves have a manufacturer tolerance and that’s what causing the 2mm difference.
At this point, I’m just not thinking about it and have forgotten it. Not much I can do. Already put a lot of effort and money on the car and even if they can swap me a new one, I don’t want to go through the full body PPF, tint, blacked out the chrome, and dashcam install process again.

I’ve accepted nothing is perfect and my OCD problem is first world problem and just stop looking for flaws and enjoy what I got.

I agree, it's a minor thing and only noticeable to you who knows it's there. I bet Lexus would tell you that gap difference is within tolerance lol.

The car line does have some optical illusion depending on the angle and lighting. After I got my car tinted and full PPF(about 7K out of pocket), I noticed what seems to be a dent on the rear quarter panel. My heart sank when I first saw it. I thought about the PPF shop dented it? Where else can I go to get this dent. I rarely park the car anywhere more than 30mins. And how did I not see this when I picked up the car off the truck at 5miles on the odo.
As I look at the panel closer and different angle, I don’t see it and seem to be normal. And there’s no sign of paint damage. I really started to question what I was seeing after looking at the other side. It seem to have the dent line too but it’s interrupted by the gas cap.
After searching different dealers to see other LC if that just the line, I went to see a couple and they all have it.

If you stand where the passenger front wheel is and look down at the top of rear quarter panel, what you’ll see seem like a dent going down.

The area where the illusional dent is.

I agree, with dirt in the paint and an off center fuel cap, I have just moved on and am enjoying the car. I did expect a little more PURSUIT OF PERFECTION!

I noticed something similar where the side skirt reaches to the rear quarter panel, at the top of the side skirt it looks like 2 dents where presumably the skirt attaches to the frame. When I first saw it I was like what the heck is this? But it's on both sides and other LCs so I put it out of mind lol

All the YouTube and auto journalists rave about LC built quality got me looking and my expectation was PERFECTION but it’s clearly not.
I need to rent a car from enterprise to appreciate the Lexus I got. Kinda took them for granted I guess.

I noticed it on my 23 Convertible, didn't know if it was a door sagging/alignment issue. Maybe will ask at the 5K maintenance visit.

Thanks for the additional data point. I didn't ask at my visit today but I had e-mailed my salesman earlier who suggested I bring it in. That dealership is an hour+ away though so I don't really want to unless it gets noticeably worse at this point.

Hopefully it's just a simple alignment, like the convertible top gap was on the right side where it mates to the frame and passenger window.

Default Update

I was able to compare my driver door with a brand new 24 convertible at the dealership and it is noticeably flush on the new 24 vs. Mine.

Dealer acknowledged that it is misaligned and said they don't have any techs that can do anything and will open a case with Lexus corporate who will likely send a rep to see it in person. Next steps tbd after that.
