I am the proud owner of 1 of the 35 LC sold in France with the V8 engine from 2017 to november 2023. Only 6 with my model year. I bought the car 2 weeks ago from the first owner.
It is a 2019 Lexus LC 500 infrared with toasted caramel interior and 10 900 km on the clock.
I have the Sport + package which I think is what you call performance package (Leather-alcantara seats, 21" wheels, carbon roof, active spoiler, rear wheel streering, variable steering ratio...)
This is the exact specifications I wanted since the car was produced. I feel so lucky to have found one just 1 hour away from my house.
I have admiration for the LFA and really appreciated the LF-LC concept when it was revealed in 2012. Needless to say I am really excited of owning this piece of art. This is a dream come true. I am coming to the forum to learn as much as possible on this car.
I have a 2003 Toyota Celica GTS as a daily driver and will use the LC for weekend cruising. I also own a 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am that I got imported from the USA (Georgia state) in 2014. I will have to sell the Pontiac due to the lack of storage place and that was the deal with my wife to get the LC.
I purchased a 2018 LC500 in March from Carvana and have been quietly investing my time and money into getting it up to my expectations. Here are some of the details:
Aftermarket: It has Lojack from the first owner, but I haven't looked into taking this over yet
Colors: Infrared over black
Two previous owners and a clean Carfax
I've since fully detailed it, added wireless Carplay, new Pilot Sport AS tires, a new battery and am having the rear cross brace squeaking getting addressed at the body shop now. I will be adding full-hood and bumper PPF and light ceramic tint all around.
So far I absolutely love this car and have no reservations about going for a 2018 model instead of a 2021. I'm sure the 2021's are a bit nicer with some of their refinements, but the 2018 model is still an amazing, impressive, unique vehicle!
antidentit congrats I have a 2018 Infrared from 1300 miles and am still in love. The enhancements from year to year are not missed if your in love with what u have like I am. Njoy
After a reasonable four month wait, my new, ordered ‘24 coupe arrived at my dealer yesterday. It seemed hit or miss for a while, right down to the wire. Undergoing PDI now, followed by PPF and having the ugly OEM wheels powder coated. Then having window tint and ceramic coating applied. Good times are awaiting!
you should go with a red with black rims or black on black
Once the novelty wears off - likely in a few years - I'll likely upgrade to black rims. I like the new OEM style 5 spoke rims, so I'll likely keep an eye on the used market for a set of those in the next two years.
For now, I really like the stock rims since they're very easy to clean and look good.
I just took delivery of a 2024 Bespoke Build LC-500 in a color combination that I don't think I've seen, First, I will apologize to anyone with refined color or fashion sensibilities, which I do not have . I think this might be considered a crime against nature in terms of color coordination. I happen to really like red. My prior car was a 12 year old red GSF with 127K miles: GS-350 F-Sport I sold
So I really wanted an "Infrared" LC-500... but I loved the look of that white interior with blue trim. So I tested the "bespoke" aspect of the Bespoke Build program and ordered an LC-500 with Infrared, white/blue interior, and black wheels. The dealer laughed at this combo, but I told them I was going for an "American Flag" look. - Here is how it turned out, what do you think?
