Hi guanche2k9,
Thank you for the kind words! Your car is looking great as well!
As for the grille, I did have it painted gloss black to go with the full chrome delete of the car.

2019 Caviar LC 500
Typically I've skipped posting in the model forums, but now that I have my dream car, I feel like this is the time to share. I picked up the car about two weeks ago in a very weird but awesome twist of fate (given the current coronavirus situation). I've already purchased and installed RSR Ti2000 springs and I have wheels on order. I'll post up some cool better pics when the weather cooperates and the wheels have been installed.

I want to introduce myself to the forum. I am Bill from northern Chicago suburbs. I have been researching the LC for over a year and decided in December to start looking. I ended up purchasing a fully loaded 2018 LC from another forum member from Las Vegas. 7,200 miles. The car was shipped and arrived in early February. Took me a while to get title and registration in Illinois but I finally have plates. My daily driver is my 2007 BMW 550i that I purchased new back in 2006. So I now have two cars with naturally aspirated V8s.

Back to the GS family with a 2015 preowned
I previously owned a 2015 GS350, deep sea blue mica/flaxen interior on a lease back in 2015. Today, I purchased a 2015 GS350 with 29,000 miles on it, same color with light grey interior. This car has ventilated front seats, blind spot monitoring, folding mirrors and rear power sun shade. I found it at a local Chrysler/Jeep dealer. Paid $23,450 plus tax and tag for the car which I thought was a great price. Was looking for an LS but they hard to find and still expensive. I loved my other 15 GS and the size and ride imo are just as good at the LS, just a little smaller. Pics to come. Very happy to be back in the Lexus family!!!!

Sorry. Didn’t see your post. I went with Intercity lines. Closed carrier. Don’t use an open carrier because the car is subject to damage with those. Intercity was extremely meticulous. Many so called carriers are simply middlemen who work with other carriers and simply arrange the pick up.
The only disadvantage with interciry is you cant track the location of your car. Some you can. Their number is 800 221-3936
It was about $1,800 from Vegas to Chicago. Open carriers are $800 or even less. One rock chip and 1,800 doesn’t seem so bad.

Hey everyone, picked up my LC last week. I was debating between the MB S class coupe and the LC and the LC by far was the right choice in the end.
Mine was certified so I have peace of mind for 2 years vs 1 year with MB certified.
Anyone else in NJ?
Like to figure where to get front plate brackets or tow hook plate?
Whats the wind like sound before the car even starts?
Anyone got apple to work on their 18?

Not sure what you mean by a “wind like” noise but get that checked out.
the 18s didn't come with apple car play, but you can have the dealer program it in for $199.00.
In illinois they they are pretty loose on the front plate requirement. I purchased a platypus bracket that screws into the tow hook area and you can take the plate off if you don’t want to affect the look of the front end.

Here in NJ, it totally depends on the city for front plates. Where did you get the platypus? I looked on Amazon and eBay. My car did not come with a toe hook.
Dealer's Technology person that showed me the car said apple play was not available for 18's, guess he is wrong.
