I want to introduce myself to the forum. I am Bill from northern Chicago suburbs. I have been researching the LC for over a year and decided in December to start looking. I ended up purchasing a fully loaded 2018 LC from another forum member from Las Vegas. 7,200 miles. The car was shipped and arrived in early February. Took me a while to get title and registration in Illinois but I finally have plates. My daily driver is my 2007 BMW 550i that I purchased new back in 2006. So I now have two cars with naturally aspirated V8s.

It's supposed to be one of the first in the country with an arrival date of October. Most dealers I've talked to have said December for theirs!
The sound is there when I turn the car on without starting the car. It's coming from the back speakers, I know the sound of the exhaust gets played through the speakers but the car didn't even start.
Here in NJ, it totally depends on the city for front plates. Where did you get the platypus? I looked on Amazon and eBay. My car did not come with a toe hook.
Dealer's Technology person that showed me the car said apple play was not available for 18's, guess he is wrong.
No sound is piped in through the speakers on a Lexus LC. However induction sound is piped in through an understood sound tube to the firewall. As far as Apple Car Play:
It was added to my 2018 before I bought it. Does me no good though as I use an Android phone, and Android Auto is not available on anything earlier than the 2020 LC.

Great looks. It turns heads for sure.
It's a rare car here in Ohio. I think I've only seen one other one on the road.
The green is unique. I'm so tired of seeing almost every car on the road that is white, black, or some shade of silver/gray. Green cars are almost nonexistent today, but I like it. Looks good with the saddle interior too.
The sounds it makes are incredible.
The 10 speed trans. Seems like overkill, but I like it.
Dislikes:
Low seating position (I know it's a sporty car and the low height is what makes it look so good) Lumbar support seems misplaced.
Trunk and back seat are almost useless. Why not just make it a two seater?
Run flat tires.
It cost too much!!!
Back in 2006 I ordered a BMW 550 and you could actually find out the departure date and the boat name. You could track the boat and see its progress. At that time everyone was discussing the Tricolor, a ship full of BMWs, And other new vehicles that was headed to the US but it collided with another ship and sank. The link below is the salvage operation to get the huge ship and all the destroyed vehicles off the bottom of the sea. Can’t imagine going through all this.

Just traded in our 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman AND our RX450hL for an almost new 2020 LC. With the pandemic, 4 cars in the driveway with only one being used, it was time to say goodbye-for-now to a few...
So here I am... still with the 2012 LS 460l awd and now the LC. No good pictures yet, but it's white on red, so you've all seen it. And since it's about to turn to great white north here, it will go in storage for December to March...
