Angry Anyone experiencing a long delay when shifting from reverse to drive?

My LC500 with the performance package has about 250 miles on it. I am noticing a long delay going into drive from reverse when backing out of a parking spot. I want to get moving due to traffic coming my way and when I step on the gas I get an engine flair. After I let off the gas it goes into gear. Wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Yes, I had the same experience when trying to make a quick 3 point turn. I don't think there is anything wrong but rather just a few second delay when switching. If you don't step on the gas right away, you will not get the flair.

I agree there is likely nothing seriously wrong, but I feel Lexus engineering needs to create a software update to speed up the solenoid function for reverse to engage quicker and offer an ECU flash update to correct the issue. If more LC owners were experiencing the same issue it may support the update. Thank you for your input!! I knew I couldn't be the only one being it is most likely a technical issue that a software update could easily correct.

There's definitely a lag from R to forward movement. Just shows that if Lexus truly wants the LC-F to be taken seriously, they need a DCT.

I'll check. But I haven't noticed it in my 500h. Admittedly the tranny is different though.

I just tried today. Didn't notice any delay from R to D. Performance package here as well.

P.S. that huge pillar on the driver side makes a perfect blind spot. Anyone noticed the issue? On the passenger side, no problem at all. BSM finally is useful.

Very

My local Lexus just got a red and white hybrid. I sampled two 500 units a few months ago, but they didn't the h at the time. The multi-speed transmission is very interesting, and I can't wait to see it be applied to another GSh, LSh or any hybrid Lexus.

Are you in manual mode when switching from reverse to drive? In auto mode it's ok, not quick, but ok.
