PLANO, Texas (Feb. 14, 2018) – Toyota Motor North America, Inc. today announced that it is conducting separate safety recalls in the U.S. of approximately 11,800 Model Year 2018 Toyota Camry vehicles and approximately 9,900 Model Year 2015 - 2018 Lexus RC F, Model Year 2016 – 2018 Lexus GS F and Model Year 2018 Lexus LC 500 vehicles.
Lexus RC F, GS F and LC 500
The involved vehicles are equipped with two high pressure fuel pumps. There is a possibility that the cover of one of these pumps could become damaged over time and lead to a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
For all involved vehicles, Lexus dealers will replace both high-pressure fuel pumps with improved ones at no cost to customers. All known owners will receive a notification by first class mail starting in early April.
Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is subject to change over time. For the most up-to-date Safety Recall information on Toyota, Lexus or Scion vehicles, customers should check their vehicle’s status by visiting toyota.com/recall and enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Safety Recall inquiry by individual VIN is also available at the NHTSA site: nhtsa.gov/recalls.
For any additional questions, customer support is also available by calling the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1.800.331.4331 or the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1.800.255.3987.

Does this recall only apply to the US models sold? or a global Lexus recall. I ordered the LC 500 2018, It should be on the Cargo ship now. definitely will ask the dealership regarding my car. but is it a global fault on the LC?

I would assume it would be. I don't see Toyota manufacturing different fuel pumps for the same model car regardless that the car is being sold into a different country. Unless, it was a RHD car and the pumps were shaped differently to accommodate the configuration.

Just had the new revised high pressure fuel pumps installed on my LC500 yesterday. Dealers are receiving the revised recalled parts now FYI. I didn't have any issues with the original ones and just followed through having the new ones put in for peace of mind.

They did the 5K service (8 months) and hand-washed my white LC500 today.
My Service Writer told me about the injector fuel pump problem and said he'd phone me when the replacement parts are in.
I'll never buy anything but Lexus.

Lexus of Riverside, CA replaced my LC500's fuel pumps in about two hours. They offered a loaner at no expense, but I decided to spend the time in the Customer Lounge eating pastries.
I am VERY happy with both my LC500 and Lexus of Riverside.
There was no charge for the repair and they hand-washed the car (and did a great job).
Thank you Frank Garcia, my Service Writer.
