Long factory delivery delays
#17
has anyone else here ordered their lc from the factory? Put a deposit on mine january 8th and was just told that it was built sometime in late march (no precise date, no serial number). Now lexus canada tells my dealer that delivery will take 2+ months, bringing it to late may. That's almost a five month wait...

I ordered my Infrared version from Lexus of Albuquerque on February 21, 2018. The confirmed my order with Lexus within the week. I received notice from the dealer that my LC hit the port on May 2 along with my VIN. Today I recieved confirmation that it will arrive in Albuquerque May 17 - 21. I pick my new baby up next Friday May 25.
All in all the process was very smooth. The dealership has been exemplary in giving me feedback whenever they receive information from Lexus. Almost exactly 3 months does not seem unreasonable at all. When I ordered a bespoke AMG back in 2014 it took close to 4 months to get delivery.
Just my 2 cents worth . . . . . . . . . .

Finally! My LC was just dropped off at the dealer today. With PDI and extended clear bra wrapping, I should take delivery by the 24-25th. 4.5 months from deposit to dealer delivery.

I'm out of town on business when it arrives - I's me, not the dealer.

I never get tired of seeing LC pics! Love all the model colors and different photo settings. Nice to see the "family" growing!

A complete LED light inspection was done to mark every micro-scratches that have occured on the paint after it left the factory. Now starts the process of polishing all of the car with Griott's complete compound. This will be followed with one coat of Blackfire Gloss Enhancing polish, two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond polymer and finally 3-4 coats of P21s Pure Carnauba wax. Show car competition level results will be the outcome
